I had a cataract operation yesterday 6th Aug 2024. My appointment was at 10:45 and I was taken through to the operating suite within minutes of arrival.
I was treat with professionalism, curtesy and friendliness. Having had all of the pre-op drops I was taken through to the operating theatre and again treated as above and introduced to the operating room staff. The operation went according to plan with no discomfort felt. After some time in the recovery room with coffee and biscuits, I was returned to reception where my wife was waiting. Total time from booking in to leaving was two hours.
I thoroughly recommend this facility at Devizes

I am 3/52 post op for my Gastric sleeve surgery and everything has been absolutely amazing and straightforward.
I was made to feel relaxed and calm from the moment I arrived for my surgery.
The nursing staff were kind and caring.
They reassured me and were informative about what would happen when I was taken/transferred back from theatre.
I had no pain thanks to the regular analgesia that was given to me. I was encouraged to be mobile which helped my recovery alot. The Surgeon Mr Vasas came to see me after the surgery and again the following day. I was discharged with the relevant verbal, written information and advice alongside my TTOs.
My incisions have healed well, no issues with infections.
I've had follow up wirh john Finney my dietician and I am reassured he's available if needed.
So happy I chose this hospital for my life changing surgery. The weight is coming off. The money I paid is a good investment for my new healthy life.

From my first enquiry about a knee replacement everybody was professional, helpful and friendly. The whole process was made easy. Operation day was potentially stressful but all staff made me feel at ease and explained what was happening. Post operative support was great and I am very happy with the outcome.

Feels like high pressure sales like plastic surgery.
They are very keen to take your money but won't give you treatment date ...just it is 'normally around...weeks'.
Also expect you to give your medical details to sales staff.
Think carefully before you trust.

A colonoscopy has been booked for me. The date arrived and I had not received the prep. So it was cancelled. Another one booked and no prep has arrived. First time they apologised, but this time they have said they were both attempted to be delivered, but I wasn’t in…the woman on the phone accused me of not receiving the prep. If so one tried to deliver it, don’t you think they would let me know and try again sometime. But no, nothing. The woman on the phone was not polite and put the phone even though I said thank you but I would like to cancel. I worked as a nurse in endoscopy for years and have not e perienced anything so unprofessional..

I paid for a private MRI scan with Practice Plus Emersons Green and upon leaving I was told my results would be with my GP within two days which I was very pleased with as their website says results within three days.
Ten days later I am still waiting, I've rung numerous times only to be given many different excuses and told it can take up to ten working days!
Not impressed.

I had a hip replacement in March 2024 at Shepton Mallet. From the consultation to surgery, (4 weeks as a private patient) the appointments were quick to schedule and very thorough and the staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
I spent one night in hospital, and the staff were absolutely excellent.
The only negative for me was the lack of support from the physio department. Rushed appointments when in hospital.
The booklet to follow does see you through the basics during those critical weeks post-op but the next option to speak to a physio was at the three-month check-up. With a very physical job to get back to, I had post op questions and was treated as nothing more than a nuisance.

Excellent service all round. The efficiency is superb, nothing is too much trouble.
The medical staff and the administration staff are excellent.
One great feature is the follow-up and after service.

My experience was incredible from start to finish. I was made to feel welcome. I was informed of everything. The nurses were lovely and helpful getting me back on my feet .

I cannot thank all the staff at Practice Plus Group Emerson's Green enough.
I had cataracts in both eyes that were deteriorating very fast. Urgent referrals to the NHS fell on deaf years, still over 2 years waiting list so I decided to contact Practice Plus at Emerson's Green and I am so glad I did. Had a consultation within days, once the x ray results had come back went ahead with my worse eye, all within 3 weeks of first contact, 2nd eye done within the next 6 weeks and now can see perfect. The Hospital is excellent, all the staff are excellent and I really can't recommend it enough. The whole experience has been life changing.

From my initial consultation to the twice rearranged operation culminating in the brief final consultation the team at Practice Plus Group (PPG) make you feel important and explain the procedure and what you need to do at each stage - and the bonus was the surgery itself went without a hitch and was a huge success - I was pain free on my new hip from the day after the operation. I would highly recommend PPG as a provider of private healthcare

I recently had cataracts removed from both eyes at Shepton Mallet practice plus. Fantastic results on deeply embedded, fast growing cataracts. The first took nearly an hour to remove and the surgeon said had I waited the 26 weeks more quoted by the NHS for the operations, the results might have been very different. Now I have just returned from driving myself to France and I feel life has a lot to offer me still. Before the operations I had begun to feel old and to think my life was coming to an end.
I had lunch today at Buckfast Abbey and met a woman who was thinking of paying for a cataracts operation. I gave her an account of my successful operations and highly recommended practice plus . She lives in Plymouth, so it will not be at Shepton Mallet.
Thank you again for giving me back my life.

I had a Replacement Hip operation in March 2024 I spent just one night in hospital being discharged the day after the operation. During my short stay everybody did all they could to help and encourage me.
I have made an excellent recovery. I followed all the guidelines in the excellent booklet and the exercises given to me by the physiotherapist. I am no longer in pain and can enjoy walking walking once again. Thank you.

I had a hip replacement at the Barlborough Hospital in February. I could not fault the hospital in any aspect, from the first consultation through to being discharged at 6 weeks post surgery. Every member of staff was caring, efficient and professional and I am grateful to the surgeon, Mr Springer, for my new hip.

Very quick and excellent service. I had a consultation within a week of first contact and had a hip replacement after 4 weeks. Every member of staff could not have been more helpful. I had very little pain after the operation, just more discomfort than anything else. The follow up of removing the dressing and physio work was brilliant. I was discharged after 6 weeks. I am now cycling and going to the gym again,also doing some Yoga.

I had a bilateral Hernia operation. My one concern that I highlighted to the doctor was that I might not be able to pee afterwards. ( Having had a biopsy on my prostate some years ago where I had this problem.) After the OP I was given the all clear to leave, but that night I had to get someone to take me to A& E at 3am as I couldn't pee properly. I have subsequently been back twice to have my catheter removed without success. I was then told to check in with my local GP. I was disappointed not to have seen a Urologist on at least one of my appointments to give me an idea as to how I can move forward.
