Very happy with the service I had today , had a call day before with times arrived on time, nice a pleasant gent and explained everything about my car very pleased

Professional and friendly mechanics that provided an excellent service.

Paid for a full service and a full service is NOT what I received.
Topping coolant up with tap water to not having any screen wash on his van to put in.
Terrible and I will not be using RAC to service my car ever again. Avoid

Terrible company I have had mechanics not turn up three times and when one dod turn up told me I had been sent wrong g alternator for me then to get a message saying it wasn’t the wrong one!
Then they send a patrol instead of a mechanic and then they apologise and attempt to send another patrol?!
I called them and tell them not to send a patrol because last one said it should be a mechanic they apologise again and say they will send mechanic.
Three appointments missed for the mechanic and then they say I have refused to communicate with them despite me having numerous recording of conversations between us and emails!
Then they cancel the insurance for the hire car leaving my disabled mother with no transport!
Going through Motability to try and get them to make sense of this because this company is a complete mess

Arrived one and a half hours late without communicating this. Appeared to be unsure what to do, stood looking at the car for a while, struggled with the job which gave me a very high level of stress, then put my car key together backwards which meant that I couldn’t lock my car

I have 3 call outs with the RAC mobile mechanics so far and all have been outstanding. Nice people, very knowledgeable. Quick diagnosis and repair there and then, or provide a link to book a full repair if needed. So convenient and much easier than finding a garage to take it

Mark 8648 carried out a diagnostic assessment of why our car would not start. This has been a complex, ongoing problem. Two previous mechanics and my local garage were all unable to find the fault. But Mark, who was extremely pleasant and helpful kept at the problem until he found an unexpected solution. He the cleared up and gave some excellent advice about what to do next.
