Had an appointment to view a commercial property which was booked a week previous and I took time off to accommodate the time allocated, however I had to call as I had went to the wrong place (same name, different areas so easy mistake) and would be 7 mins late.(thought it’s courtesy to let them know) Calvin then replied that’s ok he’s just out a meeting and can’t be there for another 55 mins. No phone call from him to say previously or apology just expected that I’d hang about until it was convenient for him. Called the office in which Adam said ‘well he will be there he’s on his way’. And blamed me for being 7 mins late which made no sense if the landlord was shutting at 3 but Calvin was an hour late anyway.. Very poor customer service and time management. Wouldn’t recommend anyone using them to rent or advertise with. Unprofessional and flippant

Had a 'Home Repot' conducted in June 2023. No issues with the report or the Survey. As the Housing Market is slow at present I predicted that a Home Report refresh would be required so I enquired about the cost of this whilst I was paying for the initial Home Report and was told the cost would be around £200.
In early Jan 2024 I instructed the Home Report to be refreshed and was then told the cost was £250 plus the vat.
I can only advise if using this company that you must obtain all costs via e-mail to avoid the surprise I got.
Surveying Companies in the central belt of Scotland are charging £180-£200 for the refresh so I would shop around outwith Aberdeen.

As the government states EPCs are not fit for purpose and I now understand why. Surveyor came to house and did not explain what EPC survey involves just went round house though did ask about work done on house and explained in detail in terms of the insulation works carried out. Surveyor advised to forward photos of said works and implied this would have a positive impact on his grade for the house. However none of it was included and I should have known something was amiss when he did not include his EPC report along with property survey report to review and approve because
I simply would not have approved it, being that his EPC report was clearly not a fair and factual report. I completed one via the Energy Savings Trust Scotland and the grade was an E not an F. I provided Surveyor with opportunity to explain his assessment and why he had not included the insulation works etc although shockingly this was one of the recommendations. Disappointingly he gave no proper explanation. Although my experience was only with one surveyor their conduct does make you question the actual ethos of this company. Therefore I would not recommend or ever make use of this company again. They cost me time and money which I could have spent more wisely with a more reputable firm.

The surveyor didn’t speak just went around my flat then left, The flat was valued 20k less than the most recent sold , he gave a 18 year old flat 2’s for the windows and electrics , the windows were perfectly fine , slight damage to a window sill, the electrics in te kitchen were updated when the new kitchen was put in , plus it’s not a old property , I got them to change it when I send evidence of hr reports from same property’s ,

Am very happy with survey by SCS- surveyors arrived on time, were very polite and unobtrusive. They were thorough. Any questions were put forward in an amicable fashion.The report was laid out in a clear and fair manner.

The surveyor arrived and made it clear he wanted to be left to wander around the house on his own. Once he was finished I asked if he had any questions and only asked a couple of things about the age of the property. He did not ask about insulation in the walls or under the floor. When the draft report arrived for review he had written he assumed there was no insulation in the walls or under the floor. I rejected the report and confirmed that during the construction of the house, I put 4" thick insulation in the external walls and around both bathrooms. This was the building control regs at the time of construction in 1974. The surveyor said he needed photographic evidence of the insulation in the walls. As we are talking about 1974, there was no mobile phones or computers at that time and people did not take pictures of everything they did back then. So, there was no chance of there being any pictures taken. He reverted saying he would not change the report which obviously reduces the efficiency rating of the house and I assume means the cost of annual bills would show higher than reality. The surveyor obviously thought I was lying about the insulation in the walls so ignored my request to revise the report, leaving the house less marketable as a result. Therefor I cannot recommend your company to anyone in the future as your surveyor had no interest in the truth about the property. I own other properties and will probably sell these soon and will ensure that I find another company to conduct my home surveys.

Survey handled quickly and efficiently. Draft survey received promptly - a couple of facts needing changing but this was carried out quickly and final completed survey available within a couple of days.
