I had a terrible experience. The resume was poor quality. I felt I had a great salesperson who didn't deliver. Leadership just didn't care and never called me back. Save your money. I really feel this was a scam.

Very poor quality work. I paid the for the executive package and expedited as I needed a resume quickly. I am trying to move from government to the private sector. When I did the initial call and when I was interviewed by the intake person I as told that I would be given the opportunity to talk to the writer about specific work terms that would resonate with those in my field and I emphasized what I was trying to convey. Also I did not want them to use jargon that was only applicable to the government. When I got the first draft, it was very off base in terms of wording and language. I could tell the person who interviewed me did not understand what I told her and put many accomplishments in metrics that were not on target. I talked to customer service and they said I could not talk to the writer, that I had to send my edits. Despite the fact that this was very time consuming (which is why I paid them) I did it - I sent notes and edits and it came back still off base - I spoke to Customer Service and they sent notes to the writer and the second draft was not better and now had inaccuracies about my actual experience and this time with racially offensive terms. I lost confidence in the staff, did not have time to talk to people or write extensive notes that they were not understanding and had to move on since I need to send my resume so I finished the resume my self. Since I had finish the resume myself I asked for a partial refund from the company because I could not get what I wanted in a resume and they said they would only do a linked in page and cover letter when the resume was done. Customer service said no but they would do the linked in page and cover letter but I had to send them the resume that I did. Still in process for this and I realized I could have gotten the linked in page service for about$100. For a busy executive like me, I did not get service that I expected and the work was very subpar. I would not recommend this company. I get they say they will work with a customer until they are satisfied but they do not offer what is needed so there is no satisfaction, it was too heavy a lift for the amount of $ charged, especially for the CEO package. The formula approach only goes so far, you still need some sector experts, you need better interviewers, you need better writer and you need better customer service.

Storeyline is the real deal.

I've been in the job market for a few months now, during which I've used a couple resume services that have delivered passable but boring versions of my resume.

Enter Storeyline. I had originally connected with their CEO Robynn when she was kind enough to reach out when I was going through a tough time. She was not selling any services to me, just simply being a wonderful human being, sending support to a total stranger on LinkedIn. I checked out her profile, and reached out to the Storeyline team to see if they could help me.

And help me they did. The first call with a team member was wonderful - punctual, professional, and she told me they could do some great work on my resume for an extremely reasonable price. A few days later, I was set up on a call with one of their researchers, who spent two hours asking me deep questions about every single milestone and accomplishment I've achieved over the past 20 years, questions that *no one* had ever asked me before.

The first draft of my resume was delivered to me just a few days later, and after a few quick and efficient revisions with a writer who could not have been more helpful, I was delivered a resume that truly tells the story of my career in a way that makes me *excited* to apply for jobs.

Thank you to Storeyline for your incredible work, kindness, professionalism, and efficiency. You have changed the way I look at resumes and have given me so much more confidence as I battle an incredibly challenging job market.

What a complete and total waste of money. My original resume got better results than the one they wrote. Just because you add a bunch of flashy words from the thesaurus to make it "sound better" doesn't mean it's going to get results. I got 1 interview from the poor resume they wrote. No telling how many interviews I missed out on due to their inferior product. Don't fall for the crafted posts on LinkedIn from the owner. She may write a good post, but her employees lack her skill. Storeyline is great at social media posts with tough sounding fluff but the product they provide is substandard. Wish I could a refund but I'm sure Robyn has already spent my money...

So 1 interview in 6 months and hundreds of applications is showing the resume you wrote for me is working? I'll respectfully call BS on that. And I don't want any help to rewrite the garbage you provided, I'd prefer a refund. This response is so typical of the attitude of the owner. It's always someone else's fault, not ours. Storeyline is above reproach as shown by our results and blah blah blah. Yeah, don't fall for it, they're selling snake oil and preying on the people that need them their help the most. If you're considering paying them, read the reviews...all of them and not just the curated 5 star reviews. Check out the Better Business Bureau reviews. They are much more indicative of the customer satisfaction from Storeyline customers. Hey, maybe they can craft a snarky LinkedIn post from my review and complain about how horrible I am for calling them out publicly. They seem to like doing that to people that don't loyally worship at the altar of Storeyline. At then end of the day, that's all they got. Clickbait posts and poor quality deliverables where it counts the most. Buyer beware...

I paid them $600 and they did a horrible job. Do NOT use them. I can write a better resume than them. I have applied to multiple jobs with the resume they made me and got rejected by all of them.

Repeat customer here! Storeyline wrote my resume back in 2021. I loved my resume, I loved the experience I love robynns posts. 2023 I needed my resume and LinkedIn updated. The process was easy and quick, much faster the whole resume package. 2024 I did a resume overhaul to change job fields and was very impressed with the outcome. I am unfamiliar with ATS and didn’t truly understand how I should be using my documents. A team member called me and walked me through everything, answered every question I had and we even got to chatting about growing up in the same small town. I occasionally chit chat with Robynn on linked in and she is engaging and an excellent cheerleader. I feel supported and can’t say a negative thing about Robynn or her team.

I’m very grateful for their services. I attempted to write my own resume with no real luck. My co worker recommended storeyline as her and her husband had used their services and loved it. I purchased the senior executive package and an executive biography. They have a lot of templates to choose from but I let my writer choose what template they would think fit best and I’m glad that I did, it looks very organized and clean. They are very easy to communicate with and answer emails promptly. I like that you can text as well as I am not always actively using email. It does take a little time however the quality is worth the wait. I will be recommended their services to anyone in need of a resume.

I'm surprised by these negative reviews. I had a wonderful experience and was
recommended by my daughter in law who has used Storeyline. I purchased the professional package and two coaching sessions which were really informative, it felt like talking to a friend. The process was very straightforward, easy to follow and I found everyone I worked with to be very professional. This isn't a $50 overnight resume where you don't speak to anyone and just fill out a form. The process is thorough and it pays off. I would use again and would recommend to any family or friends.

Really awful experience. The initial interview apparently had incorrect notes and therefore the resume drafts were including items that I didn't say I did, and although I asked multiple times to remove those items, they kept appearing in drafts, through two different writers. The drafts had weird spacing I had to point out, incorrect information, and repeated bullet points. I got to the point where I just didn't trust the content in the resume or other documents and ended up having to rewrite it myself. Waste of time and money.

I had used another resume service before I found Storeyline Resumes. Like many others, that was on LinkedIn via the company founder, Robynn. I liked her content, her tenacity to help people in their career. Times are tough and I need all the help I can get. I made an appt for an inquiry call to learn more about their services. A real person talked to me and explained how the service worked and what applicable costs looked like. I gave it some thought then emailed the company that I'd like to proceed. My next step was a personal 45 minute "interview" where a friendly, polished professional asked me detailed questions to capture more of my story than what was already on my old resume. Boy I felt great after that talk! It was fun to really think about the impacts I've made along my career journey. Then it took the writer about 3 weeks to delivery my new resume. It was a draft of course - the company had told me to expect a draft so that they could get feedback from me to really fine tune the new resume. I provided feedback (and yes, they are human it was not a perfect draft hence why it is called a draft) and then a few days later I received the final version and a few days after that i received a cover letter I could use and content for my LinkedIn profile. I was amazed at how they told my story but the real benefit came from the increased requests to interview. Within three weeks I had 7 requests and counting. Storeyline did a fantastic job. They delivered the high quality modern resume the first company did not and clearly have talented top tier writers on their staff. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to "shake up" their job search. I am glad I did not listen to the negative reviews here!! Do more research before buying in to disgruntled people.

Overpriced, outdated, and ineffective. This resume may work for you in 1970, when you can walk up to an executive with enough gumption. But to submit to an online ATS for a tech company? Not going to work. Scores below 20 in ATS review programs.

Lots of errors. I gave them feedback from recruiters and hiring managers. They all had the same constant feedback.

Executive package. Also- if you’re going to use ChatGTP please make it less robotic. I took my old resume and it spit out almost the same copy.

Huge waste of money. Robbin- for years I used your services. It’s subpar and garbage. Your not who you used to be.

It's obvious they use ChatGPT for their services. This was very impersonal. Had one phone interview where they ask generic questions and then never spoke to another person again. The resume came back with typos and incorrect information. Spend your money elsewhere.

The first resume had grammatical errors, and the templates weren't great. I requested a rewrite; the second one was almost as bad as the first. I emailed them my updated version compared to theirs. I also noticed their version of the resume wasn't mobile-friendly. I made a complaint directly to Robbyn, and she dismissed me, saying she's been in business for twenty-three years and they are "industry experts." A bit of a puffed-up attitude. Apparently, this is yet another company that learns nothing from complaints or feedback. I think many of the stories on LinkedIn are exaggerated. How many people have a 1st interview with the president of the company? That post is what got me questioning the veracity of the posts. I stopped following her after that post.
Do not recommend their service. They would not entertain a refund. Politely dismissed by Robbyn. I noticed every comment on this site was negative. I wish I had done more research on this company before I handed them my money. And, to top it off, two consulting company recruiters commented that Storeyline's version of the resume looked cheesy, titles of jobs were too small to read, and the whole thing read like a generic bio. I was embarrassed and dismayed and redid my resume. I will not ever use what they produced. Ugh. Snake oil. Lesson learned.

I spent upwards of $700 of money I did not have to use this resume service. I follow Robynn on LinkedIn as was completely taken by her posts, and her interactions, and truly believed this was money well spent and an investment in my future.

Unfortunately, I was completely wrong. The first resume was full of mistakes, continuity issues, and a complete disregard for my accomplishments in my career.

The resume needed to be redone (with MY editing) 5 times. I did not request a refund as it seemed like a waste of time, and I did get 5 rewrites.

The resume has not helped me get any further ahead than my previous resume. The cover letter reads like AI-

I initiated with Storeyline Resumes on September 25th,2023 to the tune of $689. The business committed to providing me with a resume revamp, cover letter and linkedin summary. The first draft received of the resume after over 2 weeks had more than 13 TYPES of issues listed below, leading to over 30+ issue occurrences with theresume provided to me: 1. MISSING INFORMATION 2. REPEATED SENTENCES 3. many of the metrics removed 4. the most generic word usage rather than any combination of keywords highly relevant to my industry 5.DOES NOT HIGHLIGHT MY INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE AT ALL***which is one of my most important aspects that highly differentiates me as a candidate 6. does not include any of the key capabilities highlighted to the interviewer oron the additional homework I gave 7. Provides 0 additional keywords of value, but does provide unclear verbiage substitutes such as "shepherding" 8. Typos! 9. The excessive use of generic, meaningless jargon ("possesses cross cultural immersion" is not an appropriate or functional statement, what on earth is "productive team incentives"?)10. Repeated fragments in paragraphs providing 0 value 11.Puts unrelated bullet points into a shared context 12. Puts unrelated bullet points under the wrong experience sections 13. WRONG DETAILS i.e. locations.... There are more issues, but honestly the time wasted already on this shambled assembly of a 'product' is at a detriment to the customer. The LinkedIn representation of competency, advocacy, professionalism and industry knowledge is COMPLETELY misrepresentative of the predatory "service" provided, which is actually a disservice and fraudulent waste of time and money for any professional at any level of their career. The business has done nothing to rectify the situation so far.
