They rip you off with their claim to next day shipping. I have read many reviews not on their website saying they experienced the same thing. Doesn't arrive for six days. They also send an email saying they don't have the good wine you ordered. And before you can respond, they replace it with a much cheaper bottle. They are scammers.

Extremely good gift basket - high quality stuff

The company offered me a 10% off coupon on my next order. I was told that they had done “their best.”

This was my reply—The Gourmet Gifts, Toronto re- “best efforts”? Sending perishable foods via a delivery without “climate control,” delivering a “costly custom FOOD order,” where the cheese is melted, and dangerously inedible. Melted chocolates, incorrect order items (without contacting the customer and asking about substitutions), and then having a very special order, for a very special day, delivered at 6:17pm…after all day is ate up waiting for the gift to arrive? It was my parents 60th Wedding Anniversary!

It was deeply disappointing! I was so upset, that I cried. I woke up the morning of the 14th, so excited! I wanted my parents to share a romantic picnic together, before they left for their party at 5:15pm. I was assured that my custom crate would arrive on time, and would be beautiful. Instead, my parents received a gift with melted cheese that made all the other items in the crate wet, and messy. Also melted praline chocolates (I ordered truffles).

*Several items were substituted, and my parents don’t even like to eat the replaced items. There was no non-alcoholic wine (as discussed), so nothing to pour into the wine glasses. Instead, the company sent Balsamic Vinegar instead?

Even the balloon was wrong! It was supposed to be a “Happy Anniversary” balloon.

I suppose I should count myself lucky that it wasn’t a balloon congratulating them on the birth of their new baby! (My parents are both in their 80’s).

I will never order from this company again! Offering me a 10% discount is insulting. I will NOT recommend that anyone order from this company.

Order process was very easy and you are able to design the gift to what suit the recipient. Prices are very reasonable. I will definitely order again.

I was able to put a nice gift together for my mom today. I live in BC and she lives in Ontario. The person on the phone gave me guidance and helped me put together a wonderful gift. Thnx for your support, customer care and I look forward to seeing a photo of the basket we co-created for my mom. I'd give a 5 start but I have not actually seen the basket :)

My gift was very much appreciated. The wooden tray the items were placed in also becomes a gift in itself as an ideal serving tray. The basket was delivered on time and it looked very nice.

She went above and beyond to create a custom sympathy basket for a dear friend and took great care in details and kept me abreast of changes she had to make. Ordering from The Gourmet Gifts was such a user friendly experience! The selection was very good and their ability to get the items delivered on the date requested was appreciated. I like the tracking feature; helped me tell the recipient the arrival time. I will definitely use The Gourmet Gifts again in the future.

The order was placed online easily with a lot of options to choose from, great products, promptitude and professionalism.
They announced in detail the steps of delivery and everything went smoothly - great customer service also!

NEVER use this company. I ordered a gourmet chocolate gift basket. It arrived in Regina Sk. on July 4.25 with all of the chocolates completely melted. The recipient contacted the company 3 times with pictures and was told there was nothing they could do. She then contacted me. I called but no one was available to speak to me so I had to use chat. After a long string of chats and several days, I was told it was packed correctly and they don't control the weather but offered me a 10% off coupon. I paid $127.50 for a basket of melted garbage. They will gladly take your money but take no responsibility for the product. If you are shipping from Oshawa, Ontario to Regina then you must be prepared for hot weather. They did tell me their delivery vans are climate controlled. If it's too hot to deliver chocolates in the summer then make that clear. They were difficult to deal with and there is 0 customer satisfaction. Steer clear of this company.
