Having recently entered the campervan world as a novice, Tom offered the reassurance and direction I was after. Hopefully, the approach will fix the issues I have. Great setup and great idea.

I’ve just had my consultation and I’ve come out feeling really positive! Tom has fantastic knowledge and clearly explains matters to ensure that you have a deeper understanding – he makes the effort to tell you why it is important to do something, and understanding the electrical science behind it. For me this is exactly what I wanted because I didn’t want just a shallow understanding. I learnt about fuse types, resistance, classes of electrical appliances and their symbols, and some downsides of products that many of us are not fully aware of. Tom makes regular references to the British Electrical standards and I can tell he really cares about ensuring that we are safe and thrives in his job. I was provided with links to guides and communities that are super useful and I feel really comforted to know there is some ongoing support. Tom was able to provide me with very specific information, such as wire sizes and fuses and which type of fuse, and even codes of specific products sometimes. This makes life much easier. Tom is very friendly and you won’t feel stupid at all at any point. You will have no regrets in having a chat with Tiny Build Electrics with your questions! Tom helped me with my new van conversion after I was told by my van converter that he designed my electrical system when in fact he did not. That's another story! But regardless, he took my issues on anyway and helped me get my gear running as it should be. I was probably the most difficult customer to work with given my inept knowledge of anything electrical but Tom was very kind and always super quick to reply to me and help me out. Recently I acquired a campervan with a basic electrical system in it. I need to upgrade it, but I am coming to the subject with very little knowledge, so I chose to look outwards for some help.

After finding Tom and his company through the Quirky Campers website I arranged a consultation call.

Wow! What more could I ask for? Tom was exceptional from the very first contact through our entire interaction process. First, his listening to my desires and goals was sincere and heeded every step of the way afterwards. Second, his knowledge of electrical systems and particularly in the areas of "off grid" and "camping" was second to none. He had solutions and suggestions. Finally, Tom was organized and responsive. Never did I feel unheard or dismissed. Rather, I always felt valued as a customer. His focus on service was exceptional. Sincerely, the only regret I have is that he doesn't live closer or I"D make him my "go to guy" for all electrical needs.
