Completely unreliable, they say the book in advance but in reality they just try to find a driver last minute. They are misrepresenting an ’advance booking’ service and should be stopped as this must be malpractice.

Utterly appalled and dismayed at being left high and dry at Bristol airport tonight by your ‘driver’. He called at 00:27 - while we were waiting for our luggage - saying that he was at the airport and could not wait. We told him we would be max 5 minutes late and would give him an extra £5 in cash to try to appease his dummy spitting (he was early but couldn’t wait… we booked for 00:30?). He said ok, begrudgingly (incredibly unprofessional) and then just never showed up, and cancelled our trip. As a young couple who live in Bristol, we like to support independent business and shop local, but is there any surprise as to why companies like Uber and Bolt are dominating the market, when V cars offer absolutely no duty of care to their customers who they leave stranded at Bristol airport in the middle of the night!
If I was travelling alone, as a solo female, I would have had exactly the same response, being presented with a ‘computer says no’ jobsworth attitude on the phone, when calling the general line to ask for a replacement car with an actual grown up behind the wheel to be sent. I’ve had to reign how I actually feel in, as I don’t want to let tonight taint what has been an otherwise incredible trip, but I will never touch V cars with a barge pole again. In fact, on trying to find a suitable platform to voice my frustrations, I’ve unsurprisingly found more abdominal reviews about the company and your ‘drivers’ - ironic as they don’t drive anyone anywhere!
The taxi was also booked 3 hours prior! Needless to say we are now on the Airport Flyer, and were greeted with an incredibly friendly and professional driver who is now taking us safely into Bristol…
Absolutely horrendous company - please avoid
Absolutely horrendous company. We pre-booked a taxi 3 hours beforehand, we were under 5 minutes late to get to the taxi and the taxi cancelled. This is all at 12:30am, so we were then stuck at Bristol Airport. The driver was rude when he called 5 minutes before the arranged pick up time, for some reason he expected us to be there already and said he couldn’t wait any longer. Even though he was early! Unbelievably bad service, basically doing the opposite of their role as a company.
I called the Operations team and they said they couldn’t even arrange a new taxi as there were no cars in the area. The guy who just cancelled couldn’t have been more than 5 minutes away by this point… the whole company is a shambles. Still waiting for the money to be refunded. Would be great if customer service got in touch.

Would never recommend I paid online and taxi driver actually stopped the taxi as he wanted cash And the company said it was up to him if he continued the journey or not. The price was £40.10 online to the airport and all of a sudden we got to the airport it was £45

V Cars used to be a decent company but recent changes make them unuseable. Specifically, it is no longer possible to pre book for a pet friendly or disabled vehicle. Bearing in mind that most people wanting these vehicles will have an appointment to get to at a specific time they must surely be the easiest to allocate. Apparently they are no longer interested in the business. Used to use them regularly will never use again.
Unreliable
Husband booked a V cars (Bristol) service to go to the train station for an early train (05.50) this morning (11/07/22) and they just didn't show up. Awful, he missed his connection to Temple Meads so got an Uber to take him directly there instead.

Should be no stars. This is my third negative review for the awful taxi service. I had a pre booked taxi to take me to hospital and it was 50 mins late. What's the point of pre booking when you don't allocate a car in advance? Perhaps look up in a dictionary what it means! That's it you've lost my custom
NEVER USE THIS COMPANY
NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! Two taxis pre-booked for collection from wedding on Saturday. I confirmed the booking on my way to the wedding. Received text 15 minutes after taxis due to say running late and then a text to say our taxis had been cancelled, so we were left at the venue which was in the middle of the countryside and had to make very expensive and complicated alternative arrangements!

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Even if it’s the only option. There are 50+ people still waiting for pre-booked, pre-paid taxis after a wedding ONE HOUR later. They don’t tell you that the cab will be late, they cancel with no warning, and they don’t communicate. This is a for-hire cab company so they don’t actually have their own cabs and they cannot guarantee (nor do they even prioritize) pre booked cabs - so they shouldn’t allow you to book them! This is not the only time they’ve done this. There were several people who didn’t get any cab when they had pre booked one to the wedding either. And then the day before for another event the cab didn’t show up at all. Another example, they will allow you to book a large, 6 person taxi when there isn’t one. This happened to us too and they called half an hour later to say they don’t have any and so we had to get two cabs. Just tell us ahead of time what’s actually possible and don’t allow prebookings if you’re not going to honor them. Absolutely awful service.

Please report this company to Wiltshire council, we have but as individuals we have not heard anything back.
We honestly believe this company are verging on dangerous and making money for as long as they can get away with it. Wiltshire authorities seem to care less.
1hr 15 minutes wait - granny left in a car park
I booked a taxi in advance for my elderly mum, baby and seven year old. They waited 30 minutes in a car park until I got a message saying V cars were busy but the taxi was on its way. By 45 mins late I called the office to be told they didn't have a taxi available and that I was on a priority list. In the end my mum appealed to a stranger in the gymnastics centre they had visited and found a random parent who took pity on them. Appalling service and little to no communication. Why would the taxi firm take the booking if they couldn't offer a taxi?

Don't take the risk...
Please do not use this taxi company. I cannot put into words the awful service they provide. I won't bore you with the whole story but basically I've been charged multiple times for taxis that never showed up. We were 45 minutes late for a reservation as a result. The customer service was awful when I rang to find out what was happening. They just kept hanging up and hoping I wouldn't call back. I'm in the process of trying to get refunded for the fraudulently taken money, which I imagine will be a very painful process.
Caught an uber home at the end of the night which was seamless. Never ever use this company.

I wish I could give 0 stars. V Cars service on our wedding day was appalling. Taxis were pre-booked (some several days in advance) and paid for ourselves and our wedding guests. You'd expect for pre-bookings to be prioritised but they weren't. We were left stuck for well over an hour after the booked time for the taxi to arrive. Not the end to our wedding day that I had planned at all. One guest's taxi was repeatedly cancelled giving them no way of getting home. A complaint has been sent directly to V Cars (who I'm sure won't care whatsoever) and the local council. Really wished I had checked reviews beforehand but never crossed my mind to check reviews of a taxi company and I'm sure it will be the same for many others, which frustratingly allows the company to remain operating.
Utterly useless
Utterly useless. They failed to turn up. Were charging 11 quid for a half-mile train station drop off and they were still crap. Never showed. Shudder to think what situation a woman alone at night, say, late arrivals at an airport or coming home late from the station would have to put up with. Abysmal customer services. Bath has a serious lack of reliable and prompt taxis.

V Cars you are a disgrace and you are seriously letting down the people of Bath who need and rely upon you. At 11.45 tonight we booked a taxi for 12.15. You took the booking willingly but at 12.15 no taxi. We phoned again at 12.30 and were told 5-10 minutes. Still nothing. Phoned again at 12.50 and told we had been prioritised and would be there in 10 mins. Again nothing. Another phone call at 1.05am and the taxi finally arrived at 1.20am, 1hr and 5 mins late! If you can’t provide a taxi, don’t take the booking - simple. Shocking service and you should be ashamed of yourselves. You are a let down to this lovely city.
