Sadly the reviews say it all and are factual. V cars used to be a good company, the drivers still are but are taxed 30% plus of their fares. The latest is if you live on the "outskirts of Bath" eg Batheaston. There is a fixed sit in the car charge of £14 now, despite there being plenty of drivers living in the outskirts. This is the problem with a near monopoly as its become take it or leave it......ps £74 from Batheaston to Bristol airport

Terrible, didn't even turn up even though I booked the day before.

Pre booked for 10pm - after a dozen calls many of which seemed to be just cut off…cab finally came at 11.05.
Awful service - AVOID!!

Second no show for an important trip to the airport…I had to use my car last minute and pay a fortune in car parking…

Bristol VCars. Booked a taxi via the app the evening before travel. Asked for a taxi to arrive at my home address at 8am. This morning close to 8 am I noticed no driver had been allocated. Contacted VCars Bristol by telephone to highlight this. Informed car would be 20mins. Then I received a text message saying traffic was busy & car being prioritised. I rang VCars Bristol at 8.20 (20 mins late) when there was a no show. I was LIED to by the call handler. She said the car was 5 mins away & hung up. At 8.30 (allowing 10 mins not 5, and now 30 mins late for work), I rang again as no show. I was told by a different call handler that the car had not even been allocated!!! I said ‘what’ absolutely stunned. Then the call handler hung up. Then I received. a text message saying taxi had been cancelled. I had not asked for this nor told by the call handler that this would be the action. Then I received a text message saying I had been charged!! Now I am having to wait 3-5 working days to be refunded for a service I did not receive but was charged for. Thank goodness for Uber!! My opinion - never use VCars

Didn’t turn up, didn’t call or text to let me know. When they finally answered the phone he deliberately cut me off. Never again.

Firstly late, but not so bad as it is a Friday night. Got into the taxi to find the 1.7 mile journey in Bristol would be £4.70. The driver then spent the next few minutes manually updating his phone until it got to £10.70. He tried to take a wrong turn at the roundabout and by this stage could tell that I was angered at the extortionate price, so froze it at £12.80. I was in the car less than 5 minutes. The price is a joke and I said as much. The driver said that they can add £5 to any fair on a Friday or Saturday. Do not use. Unreliable and unfair.

Terrrible terrible terrible company. Never experienced anything worse than this company.

Dreadful, pre-booked service as had to get a cab at 4.50 am. No taxi, despite the fact I called twice and was assured it was on its way. Insincere apologies as I cancelled the cab, having missed my train. I would have been better off taking a punt on an uber. Save the anxiety and don't bother.

V cars used to be good and reliable but no more
We prebooked a taxi 5 hours in advance to avoid being stranded .
We received 2 confirmation phone calls saying they were on their way but never turned up
Desperately unreliable! Don't bother guys!

Second time i pre booked my taxi and waiting 20 extra minutes with no result. Why you have pre booking function then? Late to my work again. Terrible service. Deleting this app, not gonna use it anymore..

Do not use v cars, if you do, book it 45 minutes early!

Wouldn’t recommend!

Relied on them for years but something has changed. Completely let me down for the first time this morning, missed my train and had to shell out £100 for a new ticket. Control centre said they were waiting for a driver to drop off. Driver showed me a list of drivers waiting on his phone.

Do NOT USE… pre booked and still waiting for my taxi. Called up and they said they were here, they are not even dispatched 40 mins after they should have arrived

Awful ,seem professional with with app etc , taxi companies complain about the competition from uber etc but what do they expect ,truth is pick up times mean nothing to these people

The company sent the taxi to pick me up from the wrong town.
Eventually arrived over half an hour late for course.
Changed the time of return trip, company ignored it.
Still hadn't corrected address for return trip so driver had a 20 minute conversation with the company before he would take me anywhere.

Car never turned up. they couldn't tell me why or when I would get another. I missed my train as a result. DO NOT trust this company.

Disgusting service. Prebooked early in day for 1130pm pickup. Received confirmation text. Did not turn up so rang & was told it would be a 20mins wait. 30 minutes later I rang again & was told there were no cars in the area. I reminded them that I had prebooked & had received confirmation but he could not guarantee the pickup Minutes later had a text to say my booking was cancelled We were desperate to get home & this caused us alot of serious problems. DISGUSTING & UNPROFESSIONAL ...THEY SHOULD LOSE THE BUSINESS. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM!!!!

Absolutely disgusting service. 4 times now they have let my son down for transportation to his hospital appointment for cancer treatment, he has now missed his crucial treatment don't bother using this firm, 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Absolutely rubbish. They lie, deceive and abuse you . Don’t believe anything the dispatchers tell you.
