Absolutely terrible service booked a taxi to the airport 2 days in advance over an hour waiting and being lied to on te phone still no taxi as a result I've missed my flight will never use these again or recommend them, disgusting service

Ordered a taxi at 1220 am this morning to get home waiting outside said it would be 5/10 mins after 15 mins still no sign called back was told it’s in its way again , no taxi arrived not impressed

This is the first time we have used V cars in Bath - we rang but the phones just rang out so we downloaded the app and booked the taxi giving exact postcodes for pick up and drop off. We were quoted £32 (15.85 miles) but when we got out of the taxi we were charged over £45!!!! I know the £32 is a quote but we do expect it to resemble in some way the actual price. We paid cash (perhaps this was a mistake). We won’t be using them again - we got Uber on a return trip - a lot more reasonable and not misquoted. BEWARE!!!!

Did this because I was worried about getting stranded with no signal and obviously busy venue so thought pre paying would atleast garuntee a taxi,

got fobbed off by every other v car taxi that pulled up saying it was nothing to do with them. could not connect to the office, it was so stressful and ruined a really fun evening
Loads of other people also had the same issue. whats laughable is it says taxis are available on the app even though they cant even pick up a pre paying passenger?
Eventually managed to flag down a taxi after 2hrs and pay in cash

To add to this, my partner had a similar experience in bristol. Taxi did not turn up at pre booked time, office kept telling them it was 5 mins away. It arrived an hour late so they missed some of the event they were going too. Taxi driver also chased them down the road demanding cash and being aggressive even though they had paid on the app and had evidence of this

Shockingly bad taxi service!! I'm not from Bristol so when I phoned for a taxi I had no answer but an automated voice machine said to download the app for a quicker way of booking. So I did. Gave my location via the app, and it had apparently send the taxi to my location. I was standing there with my disabled grandmother for 20 minutes after the automated call to tell me my taxi was outside (it was not) I phoned the office they said the driver had hit the button 2 minutes too soon, he's two minutes away.. okay. So we waited.. a further 15 minutes later, still nothing. I then receive a phone call off the taxi driver, I answer and explain where I am, he explained where he was and for me to walk to him (with my disabled grandmother) I explained I don't know the area so could he come to me, he was parked down the road where he could see us basically. Pulled along side us, we get in and the meter is ALREADY on £5.15. I ask why and he says it's automatic he's not in control of it. Utter rubbish! I ring the office they agree with the taxi driver! Another taxi service in Bristol drove us to our destination and because I said I didn't know the area I wasn't from around here, he tapped the extra fare button 3 TIMES!!! DISGUSTING!!! I've now reported my complaint to Bristol city council! Absolute disgrace!! I'm glad I live elsewhere. I could never cope with taxi services like that!!

Rude operators, due to be picked up at Bristol airport and was told they were just organising a driver when I phoned to ask why they were 5 minutes late. 15 minutes later they said one was on the way and was 8 minutes away. When I phoned again (by now 20 mins late from booked pickup time) they admitted the driver was “about 8 miles away” but they’d ask him to “go abit faster”.

Awful service, shocking company and also not cheap - I managed to get another cab for less from the airport!

V—Cars Bristol, booked a day in advance for early pickup so no traffic - 35 minutes late despite multiple calls and no apology. Missed train at additional cost of £70 for next train. Will never use this company again.

While I have had bad experiences with V Cars before (unacceptably long wait times, taxi arriving so late I missed appointments and being overcharged) I have not felt the need to write a review but now that they are charging my card before I even get in the taxi I must. I was overcharged twice yesterday and the refund will take up to 5 days! And this is to be the usual way going forward when booking on their app! Will never use the app again.

My son was charged £40 on a sat night at 8.45pm to get a taxi from Bath train station to sainsburys in Bradford on Avon absolutely disgusting!!!

The no show kings. Missed 3 trains with these guys, even booked 3 hours in advance on last one only to be let down. Avoid!

On Christmas Eve we waited at home in the Chew Valley for the V-Cars taxi to come to take me to my cancer treatment at hospital in Bristol. This had been booked the day before and we received a text confirming the booking. When it didn't arrive at the time agreed we rang them and were told they didn't have a driver in the area. We pointed out that this had been booked the day before, but the woman only repeated that they didn't have a driver available. No apology and no attempt to find a driver. They obviously didn't care that they had completely let us down. We'd never consider using them again.

Pre booked a taxi for five people to go early morning to railway station booking accepted the evening before by v cars the taxi arrived and said he could only take three people in car as we were three adults two small children we had to wait for another taxi to come and pay double the fare to get to station will never use this shower of a firm again

Absolutely atrocious service. On two separate occasions taxis have been booked the day before and then never arrived. Operators lie, providing false and misleading information indicating the taxi is on its way, but a follow up call informed us they didn’t have a car booked and basically nothing was coming. We missed trains on both occasions. I would encourage you to never use this company, I will be reporting them to the local council and regulator, filing a complaint and requesting an investigation, and review of their license to operate. Avoid at all costs.

V cars were booked by our company to provide taxis for our staff Christmas party. All taxis were pre-booked and pre-paid but when the pick up timed came round, only half of the booked taxis arrived. I was waiting for my taxi in the freezing cold with others in our party who were similarly let down. Taxi was due at 12.30 and did not arrive until 1.50am! The driver himself was very pleasant but he even admitted that there were not enough drivers to cover our bookings. We have complained directly with v cars but they were simply not interested because apparently they had advised us that the taxi may be ten minutes early or late. So apparently being an hour and half late is acceptable. Will not be using them again.

Was told taxi would be at our address in 4 minutes it didn’t turn up partner phoned up told we would be made priority nothing again I wait outside for an hour in the freezing cold he phoned them up again it will be with you soon nothing showed up app shows dispatched no car arrives we had to cancel our restaurant booking and it ruined our whole evening .

Took a taxi ride from College Green to Queen Street (3 minute drive). Charged£10.40 when I protested reduced to £10 saying there is a £5 surcharge for all fares after 8pm! Even London cabs aren’t this pricey. Absolute rip off , avoid at all costs.
