It is amazing bike. No worries about power cause Wau is good at it. You can ride long distances easily.

Build quality and the parts used is not worth 2500 they asking for a bike

but the battery has good range and has really good features like tracker and alarm indicator stop lights which really helps you be seen in the dark

Pleased with the bike but I think the service was very poor. lack of communication it was two weeks late. We all know there are problems with parts but I found myself chasing WAU.

Ever since I purchased a WAU bike I have been more than happy with the build quality, the performance and the overall ability of the WAU bike to perform under most conditions.
I say most because I remember on just one occasion that I took it up a very steep road of approximately a mile in length and when I got to near the top the motor stopped, I suspect because either the motor or the electronics got overheated. After a short cooldown period I turned it back on and I was off again.
I do feel that it probably was my fault because I left it in too high a gear because I have been up longer hills since in a lower gear without any problems. I put it down to a learning curve.
Interesting to note that the rear bag rack has two levels, the lower one I assume to be for carrying a spare battery. Nice touch. However, I can't see me going more than 100 miles in one ride.
On the whole, definitely worth 5 stars.

From when I placed my order for my new WAU Bike I have been completely satisfied with the service I’ve had. I am a numbers person and spoke to Crystal more than once, she was very informative and answered all the questions I asked about range at different Pedal assist levels etc.
Crystal is very passionate about the WAU bike and is always keen to help.
The Bike is amazing, I am a middle aged man with bad knees etc, and this bike has given me a new lease of life, I went out on a 52mile bike ride on the first week I had the bike. Without the WAU Bike I probably could manage 0.5m on a normal bike before my knees gave in.
95% of the 52mile bike ride was done on pedal assist 5, I feel that the WAU Bike is the only bike to achieve this range.
As I get fitter and stronger I will reduce the pedal assist from 5 to 1, on pedal assist 1 I could expect over 100miles of range from 1 charge.

Amazing customer service, love the bike and have purchased an extra battery just for peace of mind on my shifts, though I mostly will not need it. However, they offered me a free upgrade battery instead of it being the 10.4ah I have been given the 15.6ah battery pack for the same price, which was a no brainer for me. Along with a payement method that was suited and flexible for me. Very impressed.

Stunning bikes, superb customer service. Cannot recommend WAU highly enough. The riding experience is awesome, the range extraordinary.

Life changing product, top rate customer service

Had a Vanmoof for a while and then decided to move to Wau. With my Vanmoof it was more than a nightmare with maintenance, overall quality and range. But changing to Wau felt a big difference. The customer service was fast and accurate and most importantly the maintenance was straightforward without any questions asked. I know they have a HQ in Nottingham, but as family and I are down south we visited the London service station and the guys here were super cool and fast too. Great bike, awesome people.

The product is great, but I had a problem with a faulty part. It was not that easy to chat or respond to rectify the fault. (This was the display unit) The bike was brought as a Xmas present to my son. It has been given to him so he can benefit over the winter months. As he is a user to work most days. He picked it up yesterday and we gave him all the information we received. We mentioned that it was set up, but we did not know how to turn the front light. He said he would figure it out. He has asked me to get in touch with WAU explaining that the light is not working. He has figured this out. He has now used his bike for work and says it covers the fairly long journey easily. Just the job for what he needs.

My initial order was at the end of November 2020.
First bike had faulty lights and was returned.
Second bike was not used until the end of January due to snow.
When used the chain came off and slid between the crank and the battery case. Only way to put the chain back on was to take off the crank. This happened again and Wau were contacted.This was in February.
Wau initially offered to pay for a narrow wide chain ring to solve the problem. They then stated they were going to have bespoke chain guard and bottom bracket made. They then got their service centre to suggest a narrow wide chain ring but out of stock. They then stated just a bespoke bottom bracket and then this would be delayed. This was further delayed at the end of May and June. Events out of their control. Suez canal blocked by oil tanker and Brexit, containers effected by Covid.

Assumptions made by Wau customer services about my care of the bike and the mileage on it. Third parties were also misquoted about the condition of my bike. Other assumptions made about the surface I was riding on. If you check your handbook, your warranty is void unless you ride on the road. However, social media would suggest you could take bike up a mountain. In June parts still not arrived. Wau stated bike would be fixed if taken to their service centre in Nottingham or London. I live in Scotland. Wau then stated bike was not bike for me and they could buy it back off me at salvage costs - 60% of total cost. They could not break down the costs or give me any details how they had reached this calculation. You buy a faulty bike and the firm are happy to buy it back off you at nearly half price!
Decided to wait for bottom bracket. This and new chain arrived on 12th July. I sourced my own narrow wide chain ring and together with the wider bottom bracket the chain stays on and works well. This done at local professional shop who did notice quite a lot of play in the front shocks. Fitting was paid for by me as was the narrow wide chainring.

Finally in the last two weeks got to do some 70 mile cycles. The bike does rattle but battery range is excellent. Cycle in level -0; 1,2 and the occasional 3 and you still get a good workout and get up most hills. It also keeps your speed down.

However, yesterday disaster, rear tyre blew out on busy road 25 miles from home.No debris on road or anything. Sent me across road in front of car coming the other way and into a hedge. Luckily no one was hurt. I could not live with myself if someone had have been seriously injured or even killed.
Also, due to weight of bike nearly 4 stone, had to phone wife to pick me up and then get the Berlingo. Needed to empty Bootjump etc….Wheeling bike at that weight would wreck the rims. Luckily do have a big car or else you would be really stuck. Contacted Wau and no response.

Analysis of inner tyre would indicate no slime like suggested and the bike is back in my hallway. Latest version of the bike appears to have more robust tyres and looking at other reviews, flat tyres and broken spokes appear quite common, maybe due to the weight of the bike, although this is my own assumption.

In summary, in just over 10 months I have covered 310 miles! Based on current calculations something has gone wrong on the bike every second bike ride or 70 miles!

Words from an irate customer who predicts Wau will either blame my maintenance, the surface I was riding on etc…..rather than patchy quality. Spend £2200 and…..
