Its been a month with my new bike and I'm still in love ,hope that answer's all questions

As a courier, I must say... Guys here that talk smack, let's all be honest. We all once in a while trash our bikes. Every day is a rush catching deliveries and it's a must to get paid, but do remember if we do not take time to take care of our own wheels, chains, brake pads, etc. we cannot hope that the company will fix it with a magic stick.

I know some couriers I've personally spoken with here in London are constantly trying to push for free servicing, but looking at the bikes that are being run into the ground I'm not surprised some parts occasionally break.

These guys are genuinely helpful as hell. Do you know anyone that does free service pop-up days? No. Only wau genuinely cares about us as a minority.

I heard they might be coming up to London again to help out and support all riders on the road.

Ordered my bike in 14th June 2020, delivery to Germany took little over a week. At first I was skeptical about after service as I am based in Germany, and wau is based in UK. However after using my wau bike for almost 8 months, I have never looked back.

When it first arrived, I was unsure how to set up the bike so i went to local bike shop for quick assembly. Then I had a small issue with logging in the app, that was quickly sorted by the customer service team.

Since then I have not had any issues and I am really pleased with the quality and after sale service of the bike, bike is very fast, pedal assistant helps me a lot especially when going up steep hills. And one thing that never gets old, I still get stopped on the road by other cyclists asking about the rear lights.

Would personally like to thank the wau team for answering all my endless questions, regardless whether it is before or after purchase!

About the bike, it is beautiful, very solid built with big tires. I feel extremely safe going at high speed, especially with the front and rear lights. Rear lights are definitely one of the conversation starter with many other cyclists on the road.

Customer service, cannot fault the company with communication or their speed of resolving any problems you have.
They really look after you as one of their own once you have purchased a bike from them.

Well what can I say that hasn't already been said. They couldn't be any more helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Crystal is an absolute star, always replies promptly to any correspondence.

Same as many other reviews here, customer service is superb and I love my wau bike. It is so beautiful, and any issues or questions I have, often gets resolved on the same day. Cannot fault the bike or the customer service. Definitely recommend wau bike to anyone and I am very proud to support a British company, especially from my home town Nottingham.

So I'll start with saying I want to like this bike and give it 5 stars but I can't. This bike is pricey - £2000+ so keep that in mind with what I'm about to say,
The service that wau give is great if there's a problem they will eventually sort it out. But this review is about the bike.

The build quality is poor. I have had the bike for a couple of months and I will list the problems and you can decide if it is me or the poor quality of the bike.

Issue one- the back wheel stopped working basically falling apart.
This is poor quality or a manufacturing error( call it an anomaly if you like.), perfect if that was the only issue.

The box that holds the battery came loose, not from the screw holes but the casing came apart, which is dangerous and could easily cause water damage leading to more problems.

This happened within a few weeks of owning the bike, they paid and replaced the wheel which is fine, perfect, if that was the only issue.

I had not been in an accident, dropped the bike and it hasn't fallen over.

Issue 2 - I then go for a ride and mid-journey my power cuts off with an error message. I tell Wau, they book an appointment at handlebars and 14 days later no bike. I email Wau asking for some clarification, they tell me its a wiring problem. .

(Update- The back wheel was replaced showing the quality is not good )

I waited months for LCD which cost £150. they sent, poorly packaged, without box as if it was a display model.

All of this happens in the space of fewer than 2 months. A wheel falls apart, the casing comes apart, then the motor stops working. This is a poor-quality bike. Especially considering the huge price tag of £2000+

This is my first e-bike after I sold my motorbike and I have to say its shocking quality.

Now let's talk about the overall quality of the bike.
- They promise 100 miles. Huge overstatement. They do say on the website depending on other factors. But at best 60 miles on one charge. Which is still good. I can't fault the battery capabilities. It is a huge battery which weighs a lot, and charges in a decent time.

- the chain constantly comes off. It can come on the outside but it mostly happens on the inside and can not be put back on simply as the box blocks it. So you have to take the chain apart (if you don't know how to do will cost at any bike shop) to put it back on.

-the bike is heavy which can be seen as a positive or negative depending on your stance.

- It comes in one size, which isn't an issue for me.

-bigger than average wheels/tyers which is very good for stability and peace of mind riding in the rain.

- brakes, trek disc breaks. Normal I guess

The bike is peddled assist, so stops and starts when you stop peddling. I've had a few issues with that as well. At times the peddle assist can randomly switch off for a minute and then will come back. Not sure what that is. It's capped at 15mph making it road legal.

I wanna badly say it is 5 stars, that it is a brilliant bike and I recommend it to you, but I can't. I've been as honest as possible for the benefit of people considering purchasing the bike.

And I except Wau will reply trying to justify the back wheel falling apart and the wiring issue/motor not working.

Consider carefully and do as much research as possible. Don't take the millage any e-bike company as Gospel as they always oversell on that mark.

I am in awe of my Wau bike.
I've had my bike for around 3months now and it's got me out exploring with ease after almost 15 years!
I haven't connected my throttle yet as I've just enjoyed cycling local and my riding distance is slowly expanding so it will come in good use eventually.
Even up the step hills i try not to laugh at the people struggling up the hills, while i glance with a wink & sweat free!! This is where i think a throttle would help, as i tend to get stuck if i stop on a hill to avoid an obstruction, and often find it hard to get going again.
The wau bike is rapid, a head turner and a joy to ride! My friends are sick of me going on and on about my new toy! It's honestly that good! I look forward to the spring and summer month's ahead.

Very cheap quality bike and batteries.Wrong description.I ordered a battery for £300.The description said a fast charger included which I didn't receive.The bike is also very poorly designed.Wouldn't recommend.More update.The bike is now making weird noises.Brakes have stopped working.Bike stand came apart.Bike keeps vibrating at high speed.I must say it's a weird bike.Also I didn't buy the bike from a courier.I bought it for a regular user with 300 miles odo.The bike was almost brand new looking.save your money and get an ebike kit.Don't waste your money on this piece of rubbish.

This fantastic bike has become my main tool for work. I am a full time food courier in central London. I had a Carrera crossfire before and also converted my own bike to electric but nothing can compare to the rnge I get from wau bike. I made 1000kms in the first week of having the bike, and all my friends are very impressed with the look and the range. 1 night I received an error code 08 whilst working, I was very far from home and called wau urgently. crystal called me within 5 minutes and fixed the issue. The customer service I received was the best. I can see there are more and more wau bikes on the streets on london and I am very happy I made the decision to go for wau bike.

In love with the bike itself but the process could’ve been a lot smoother. First off I didn’t receive a proper invoice until the bike itself had arrived. I also didn’t have a date or time for when the bike was supposed to be delivered ( luckily I was home as the driver didn’t require a signature or proof of delivery, bit worrying with a product worth over £1700) . When the bike did arrive it was missing the one main Allen key used for 90% of the assembly/adjustments and the rubber strap to attach the front LED was also missing. I opted for the upgraded bike seat but had no instructions as to how to assemble it and found it more trouble than worth so I am now currently waiting on a refund. Overall I think the communication/ attention to detail could have been much better for such a pricey product. Other than that I love the bike itself and I’m very much enjoying it.

Would totally recommend.
My love of riding has returned and kids love taking dad out (even in the cold evenings).
Already have some friends/neighbors express an interest and thinking of investing in one.
Unfortunately, I've already.had my first accident (dog ran out in front of me and I was a bit heavy on the front brake). Wau have kindly.offered to work with me to get it back and fixed up.

The bike is sturdy, rides well. Still some pedal power needed going up some of the very steep hills in Cornwall. A 17 mile cycle journey from St Austell to Newquay is quicker than the bus or train. Mainly because of the route the bus takes and the train changes and wait time, but still a plus for using the bike.
I found, with the bike having brake lights and indicators other vehicles take the bike more seriously on the road.
The main battery has a good tight fit, the second battery at the back could have a tighter fit.
The advert for the bike says suitable for 5'3" upwards. I'm 5'8" and need to have the saddle at it's lowest and I can't fully rest my feet flat on the ground.
If WAU made a slightly smaller version of the bike with the same power, I would have gone for that version.
Having said this, when actually riding the bike it feels comfortable and the throttle is a good addition.
