AVOID WIZZ AIR UK
AVOID WIZZ AIR UK — TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NO RESOLUTION
Me and My Wife.
I am writing this review because, after months of waiting, Wizz Air UK has still not resolved my compensation/payment claim following the cancellation of my flight from Valencia to London Luton in June 2026.
The flight was cancelled at extremely short notice, causing enormous disruption to everyone travelling that day. There were around 200 passengers affected, and the way Wizz Air handled the situation was extremely disappointing.
We were left to deal with the consequences ourselves. We were not provided with a hotel, we were not given a proper alternative flight that allowed us to return home as planned, and we were not given adequate assistance or vouchers to cover the expenses caused by the cancellation.
Because of this cancellation, I had to spend additional money on accommodation, transport and getting back into the city. I have suffered more than £500 in losses and additional expenses, completely as a result of the disruption caused by the cancellation.
But the worst part is what has happened AFTER the flight cancellation.
It is now October 2026, and I am STILL waiting for my payment.
Wizz Air keeps asking me for a boarding pass that I no longer have access to. The boarding pass was provided digitally through the airline's system. Once the journey was completed and the boarding pass was no longer available in the app, I could not simply produce a physical document that no longer exists.
I have already provided screenshots showing my booking and proof of the flight purchase, but Wizz Air is refusing to accept this evidence and continues insisting on the original digital boarding pass.
This is completely unreasonable.
How can a company expect a passenger to provide a digital boarding pass months later when the document was stored within its own digital system and is no longer accessible to the passenger?
Wizz Air has all the information relating to my booking, passenger details, flight, payment and travel history. They should be able to verify their own records instead of continuously putting the burden on the customer to produce a document that is no longer available.
I have spent months going back and forth trying to get this resolved. Instead of simply dealing with the claim properly, Wizz Air keeps requesting additional evidence that I cannot reasonably provide, despite already having other proof of the booking and payment.
The cancellation itself was already a major inconvenience. Having to arrange accommodation, pay for transport, reorganise our journey and deal with more than £500 of unexpected expenses was stressful enough.
But then having to wait from June until October without receiving the money I am owed has made the whole experience even worse.
This is not just about the money anymore. It is about how passengers are treated when something goes wrong.
Airlines know that passengers are dependent on them when a flight is cancelled. They know that people may have hotels, work, connections, transport and other commitments waiting for them at their destination. When an airline cancels a flight, passengers should not be left to deal with everything themselves and then spend months fighting to get their money back.
My experience with Wizz Air UK has been extremely frustrating from beginning to end.
Flight cancelled.
No adequate assistance.
No hotel provided.
No proper alternative arrangement.
No adequate vouchers.
More than £500 in additional losses and expenses.
Months of waiting.
And now they are refusing to process the payment because I cannot provide an old digital boarding pass that is no longer accessible.
This is absolutely not the level of customer service I expected from an airline.
I am sharing this review so that other passengers can understand what they may have to deal with if something goes wrong with their Wizz Air flight.
Before booking with Wizz Air, I strongly recommend that passengers understand exactly what evidence they may be expected to keep and what happens when the airline cancels a flight.
For me, this has been an extremely disappointing experience, and after everything that happened, I am still waiting for Wizz Air to resolve my claim and pay what is due.
Think carefully before booking with Wizz Air UK. My experience has been months of stress, additional expenses and a complete lack of satisfactory resolution.
Wizz Air
Man forsøger naturligvis at kontakte flyselskabet.
Wizz Air: Aldrig igen. Ikke engang hvis billetten er gratis.

I booked two flights earlier this year to Venice, they then changed the times of the flights to much later and it became untenable for us, when I tried to cancel our flights I came across the most rude and unhelpful Customer service representative ever .The long shot is I got a paltry refund of £48.70 from a total cost to me of £509.67,i find this totally unacceptable .I will never fly Wizz Air again.
Scammers
Scammers. In good faith I PAID IN ADVANCE when checking out so I could take my extra bag. The checkout process made it appear that I had already paid for bags, only for the evil woman (who only gave her name as L Patel) at the boarding desk tell me I had to pay even more to take my bag on board. It’s a scam. Even the guy helping with bags onto the plane said I’m not the first, and won’t be the last to get scammed in this way. I will NEVER fly Wizz again and hope their business eventually goes bust.

This Company is a complete joke or rip off do not use them.
We tried the night before to get checked in online and the app it would not work.
We tried again before we left for the airport again both would not work.
You have to check in 3 hours before which we tried on all attempts.
We got to the Airport 2 1/2 hours before check in and they would not let is on the flight unless we payed 100 Euros. We have tried to claim it back but they do not respond.
A Word of WARNING there facebook page is not theres its full of scammers trying to get you to part with money telling you its a credit.
At some point this company will loose all its custom they are not what they say on the packet and they wont respond to this either
LADRI
Save your money and avoid!
I originally booked a flight leaving locatiom X at 1845 and arriving in location Y at 2000 on 25th October 2026. The flight was purchased on 15th March 2026, well in advance of the flight date. I also purchased a bus ticket from location Y airport to location Z which cost £25.20.
On 22nd April I received notification that my flight had been rescheduled. Due to the later flight time, I had to reschedule my bus which cost me an additional £5.
Today, 11th August, I received another email stating my flight has been brought forward to 1245 on the 25th October. The new flight time is totally dissimilar to the original booking and completely unsuitable, so I paid extra money to change a bus booking for no reason.
Having previously flown Wizz Air with no issues, I couldn't understand other people's distrust and dislike. Now I do. The airline is a circus, an absolute joke, a disgrace. I would strongly advise anyone who is thinking of getting a cheap flight to stick with other budget airlines.
Avoid this airline as much as you can
Avoid this airline as much as you can
The only positive thing that can happen is that they go under and someone else capable replace this company and its brand
Three hours and a half of delay without any external factor impacting on schedule.
Incapable, horrible, stupid.
Go bankrupt the only hope
Never again
After decades of Wizz Air operating, they have never once shown any respect for a stress-free journey of their customer — instead repeteadly made arrangements that have benefited them without any regard on how these affect the customers who are buying their services (until they don't!).
Wizz Air effectively lets you purchase a promise to buy a seat later. When you book a Wizz Air flight, you cannot board the plane unless you've specifically bought a seat as well — during checkout, you're forced to buy either a seat of your choice or one suggested by Wizz Air. There is no other way through. So what exactly am I buying with the flight ticket itself?
If you haven't travelled recently, don't be fooled by these tactics. Sadly it seems to have become a generic business model that all companies now follow — how can we push stress levels as high as possible and show no respect whatsoever to our customers? Why not have a transparent ticke price off the bat?
On top of that the check in itself is a disgrace in this day and age. After paying for the mandatory seats there's no confirmation screen whatsoever. You're left to navigate back through the entire platform just to check whether your services have actually been booked and are showing up.
Why offer a smooth experience when they can make it as stressful as possible? This was my last flight with them. Good luck with your company.
AVOID
I booked my flight tickets using Wizz Flex - online, some websites stipulate that Wizz will either credit your account or refund the original payment method.
After realising that I had double booked my flights, I called Wizz air customer service who told me categorically they will not refund my account but will send me a credit within 72 hours. I don't want a credit - I don't want to fly with Wizz air. Ever.
It's been 72 hours and there is no credit but I've been debited for the flights on my credit card. I called customer service, waited in line for 20 minutes to then have the phone put down on me when I managed to connect with an operator.
It's illegal for you not to honour your policy.
Wizz air are such scammers
Wizz air are such scammers. They cancelled my flight (there last of many groups they cancelled) and it seems almost impossible to get my money back. They say they've given it to me in credit which I don't want - and there is no obvious way to get an actual refund. I never want to use this company again.

Save yourself the money and stress
our whole experience from the beginning was bad. our tickets went up $80 each right before we paid for them online. our tickets were online check in only, but online check in did not work. after trying for 24 hours to check in online, we went to the airport. we were charged $45.5 per person to check in. and when we submitted all proof and receipts to customer service for a refund, we were told "it is our responsibility to ensure we had checked in, and got our boarding passes before the flight."
I would not recommend flying with Wizz Air to my greatest enemy.
ALL YOU CAN FLY IS A SCUM!!!BE WARNED!!!
Wizz Air’s “All You Can Fly” pass is very misleading. After purchasing it, I discovered that I’m unable to book many flights — even ones that appear half empty. There is no transparency about how many seats are allocated to pass holders or why certain flights are unavailable.
These major restrictions are not clearly explained when you buy the pass. “All You Can Fly” sounds flexible and accessible, but in reality availability seems extremely limited. I feel misled about what I actually paid for.
I would strongly advise others to fully understand the hidden limitations before purchasing.
Charged £182 due to system error during bereavement travel — no help, no empathy
I had a deeply upsetting experience with Wizz Air.
I completed online check-in correctly for our booking. At the final step, all passengers showed as checked in, indicating completion from the customer side. Despite this, at the airport we were told the system showed no check-in and we were charged £182 for airport check-in for four passengers.
This strongly suggests a technical failure in Wizz Air’s system. No additional service was provided beyond what should already have been completed online.
Before paying, we called Wizz Air customer support from the airport to explain the situation. No investigation or help was offered, and we were told that the charge was required or we would miss the flight.
This was urgent bereavement travel. My wife was travelling after her father had suddenly and unexpectedly passed away only hours earlier. Being forced into this situation on what was already the worst day of her life caused significant additional distress.
After travelling, I again contacted customer support by phone. The possibility of a system error was dismissed and no refund was offered. There was no empathy or understanding shown despite the circumstances.
Customers should not be penalised for system failures — especially during bereavement. I am still seeking a fair refund of this charge.
THEY LOST MY BOOKING
I actually can't believe it. I bought they flights and paid - the money LEFT MY ACCOUNT - and 20 days later, still with no reference, I called their helpline. I explained my issue and the customer service lady just said there was nothing they could do without the email. Went round in circles for 20 minutes before I gave up and contacted my bank. I sincerely hope I never have to book with this airline again.
Wizz Air refund process
The most complicated refund process i have ever experienced! Wizz Air changed my flights and offered alternatives (which did not work for us) or a refund. refund is only in Wizz credits which you have to use within 12 months. After much searching i found i could request the credits be refunded to my payment card, but then had to provide so much information I have spend hours trying to find everything they need. Hopefully there now after being logged out several times and am told my account should be credited in 7 days...
