Con artists have taken my money and are pretending to have lost my order, being elusive and passing blame to local stores! I've phoned in 5 times and every time been told I will receive an email with an update on my order, every time I get nothing back. Highly suspect they're dragging this out past the time period I can cancel the payment through my bank. Do not order from here they will take your money with no intention of fulfilling your order! I'm having to file a fraud case to my bank to reclaim my money american golf still continue to have no update on my order or cancellation request.

I’ve attempted two orders in the last year most recently last week for a pair of golf shoes. Both orders were cancelled due to 'lack of stock or not in a condition to send out'. Both times they trolled out the same excuse in that an IT upgrade is to blame for wrong stock levels. Stay away from them and go to a retailer that can be relied on. Useless!

Terrible website and company. Ordered a bag online to be told not in stock. Bag still on website. Asked for an alternative to be told also not in stock. Unfortunately got vouchers so cant take business elsewhere!!

I wish I had read the reviews on here before I ever delt with them.
I ordered a pakage golf set off their website on a finance deal of a few quid a month for a year. 3 days after ordering they emailed me saying they had cancelled the order due to the product not being in stock. I emailed them back saying I had already done the finance deal and obviously the finance company had done a hard search on my credit file (which stays on for a year) and taken points off my credit score. They replied saying I could order another product of the same value that's in stock as a substitute.
I ordered another set of clubs and a day later Peter from AG emailed me back saying that they had the new ones in stock but unfortunately the credit company had withdrawn the deal and I would have to re-apply for credit on them.
I called the finance company and they said that they had withdrawn the deal but there would not be a problem given me the same credit deal on the new clubs and all AG had to do was call them and qoute my reference number and it would be sorted out without re-applying.
I called AG and Peter answered the phone and he said he had already spoke with his finance department and they said I can only order a new set in a new finance deal.
He wasn't didn't even want to go back to his finance department and discuss with them the option I was given by the finance company for the sake of one phone call!
He couldn't really give a s**t what had happend and that it was their fault it happend he wasn't even prepared to try and solve the problem!
The original clubs I tried to order are still showing in stock on their website so this is going to happen to some other poor sod but hopefully they take the time to read their poor reviews, which maybe I should have done before I even ordered from this company.

I ordered a pair of golf shoes in Italy. It arrived but had the wrong size. When I asked for them, twice, to change it for the right size a person called Callum replied "We unfortunately cannot arrange a collection for an item outside of the UK. You would need to send this item back to us if you no longer want it."
Never using American Golf again. Their customer service and return policy are a joke.

Ordered two wedges with a discount, but American Golf canceled one due to “stock issues” - without giving me the option to cancel the whole order. Now I’m told to return the club at my own cost and reorder to get the deal. Frustrating, unfair, and poor customer service. Won’t be ordering again.

Ordered a set of irons. 5 iron was missing from the order and one of the clubs had been demo’s in store.

Massive back and forth with a highly incompetent, useless and sarcastic “customer service” rep.

For some reason they would not send out the club and wanted me to return the rest of the set. Went round and round for days with them making it as difficult as humanly possible to rectify the situation.

Just ended up giving up as I don’t use a 5 iron too much, lesson learnt that American golf are a joke and you should just avoid. Will not use them again.

On placing an order with this company I instantly received an email telling me that it was out of stock and the order was cancelled. I proceeded to make an alternative selection for the same cost and placed the order. I assumed no money would be taken from me as this was so instant why would a charge be made for the first item. I saw both transactions in my pending part of my account and assumed the 2nd would drop off as why would it be processed!? Checking today and both payments have been processed! I have web chatted with Matthew at American Golf who was not helpful and would not take accountability for the company system being poor, the website should not allow a purchase to be made for an item that was not available which it clearly new as the email of cancellation was instant. I was told that all t's & c's etc. and refund info meant I would be charged at the point of sale and a refund would take around 5 working days. Now that would have been understandable if the item was even there and I have returned it or changed my mind on the order not when their system has such an obvious flaw. Now I am out of pocket until next week, thank fully I can mange that financially but there will be many out there that would be put in a difficult position without this amount of money for that time, there is a cost of living crisis after all. I will not be a returning customer due to the dire system, lack of ownership or acceptance or accountability or responsibility from the company and the poor customer service I received which basically made this my fault (not Matthews words as he pointed out but very much implied) and issue.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEIR RETURN POLICY IS A TOTAL SCAM AND YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR MONEY BACK. YOU HAVE BERN WARNED. AVOID BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY

Shocking --ordered they took money but then received email stating not available after website showing that they were a joke of a company

If you buy anything online remember you must pay your own shipping for returns. No other online retailer that I use have this policy.

Con Artists! Steal customer money with no intention of ever delivering goods!!

Do not try and order from the American Golf website. I have tried to place 8 orders over the past 3 months (for different goods). 8 times I’ve had an error message appear, payment has been taken, but no order placed and no goods delivered.

I’ve then wasted countless hours chasing down refunds from their lazy customer service team!! Go elsewhere!!

The American Golf website is a con. They do not know what items they have in stock and I suspect that they don't even stock many of the items they have on show. I placed an order for an item which was shown as being "in stock". After an email confirming my purchase I got nothing else. After a week I phoned them. After listening to a recorded message for 3 minutes that told me what a wonderful Company they are, I finaly got to speak to someone. However, she could tell me nothing. Phoned again the next day and it was just the same. I concluded that I was just being fobbed off. Eventually after 10 days I received an email saying my item was out of stock and my order had been cancelled. It also said that my refund would "take 3 to 5 working days to process as per normal bank clearing procedures". Funny that these "bank clearing procedures" didn't apply when they took my money.
I will never use them again and would suggest that if you want a smooth transaction for your golf requirements that you look elsewhere.
They are a joke.

1 star is generous. Placed a custom order on the 19th December, no confirmation, no email nothing. Chased and chased and chased - nothing. Clubs due into AG warehouse W/C 3rd Feb, now 10th Feb. Tried blaming Taylormade so I contacted them direct - no delay with TM.
Ordered the same from JamGolf and I have received my items already.

Apparently AG can’t offer a refund despite placing an order on the 19th December.

20 years ive gone to AG - no more

I ordered 2 golf bags from American Golf. Neither came, I had an email to say the bags would not be dispatched and the money would come out of my account then be returned 3 to 5 days. I had the money taken out of my account nearly 2 weeks ago, it has still not been refunded, even after contacting them.

Messaged through the website about receiving an incorrect item back on the 3rd January and I am still awaiting a response. Have sent 2 messages since and have heard absolutely nothing. No idea how to get this resolved. It advises it can take 7 working days to get a response from customer service which isn't good enough anyway but I have now waited 12 working days and heard nothing. Not good enough at all from such a large organisation.

Shocking on line service. Ordered 2 golf tops, money taken, no confirmation of order. Turns out no order placed. Illegal. Am told it will be escalated to finance team - how long will that take. Why can’t customer service issue a refund? Total waist of time. They bombard you with promotions but fail miserably to deliver a competent service. I star is generous!
