I went to county batteries a few months ago and was very pleased and left a really nice google review.
Unfortunately there is no consistency in this business as they took my solar battery out of my vehicle, I was told it was faulty, I went back for a new one to be fitted the guy would not fit it, there happy to take them out but won't re-fit them, depending on who you get depends on if they can be bothered to do the job. Very disappointing.

Purchased Battery early 2022 with 5 year guarantee. Battery failed & wouldn't charge. Couldn't find invoice as moving house. Returned & they checked & confirmed faulty. But could not change. Been in motor trade for over 35 years & know can find by part No./stock movement or name. But no. Offered to sell new one with discount!!!! Really think I'm buying same product that doesn't last even half its warranty. (That doesn't exsist)

This is a disgrace.
I have given county battery to fix as the ebike battery as their was a fault after touch the charging pin with key ,payed £50 .I collect connect battery only had 30% it rapidly decharge to 0 in less than a few minutes.

Charge for a few hrs, didn't work ,bought back to shop nuthall,nice man there check the battery told me my 48v battery only showing 43v take it back home charge it all night if not corrected itself . I was giving a number to call on Thursday 24 Aug I called the number,
I was told by robby he would speak to the engineers and get right back to me ,
25 Aug today , Kelly called identifies herself as operation manager. Expecting to hear an apology and confirmation to fix my battery,
But instead she just twisted every I said around and blaming me everyday she could treating to end if I dnt listen to her trying to swindle her way out .
When I stated I would put a review her reply was go ahead ,
I will go and reply that u refuse to listen and accept help.
So I said am ending this call thank but getting no so will blog it and complain ,
Kelly then started to speak over me again saying if you bring it in we will look at it. But it works fine because we tested it,
And they gave a warranty!???.
Ruined my weekend .😒

County Batteries Nuthall - called into day for battery check - service was excellent, professional, polite and told/shown battery fully charged endorsing my employees recommendations for this branch.

I went to Ilkeston branch where I asked for an advice prior purchase. It was a simple/one question but the staff did not help whatsoever. I thought they are experts or at least aware of what they sell. Customers, as no experts, rely on advice. Last time I go there or deal with this company. I find other businesses helpful.

Priced up 70ah AGM battery on line £170.00 at county batteries then I noticed they recycle batteries for cash so took in a old car battery and a bag of other batteries, they said they could take them off my hands but no cash, It felt like I was being ripped so I left them, but found an alternative supplier for my new battery.

I think one of the main ways you can tell about the quality standards of a supplier is in relation to how they deal with issues when they arise. From my perspective County Battery could not have been more helpful and dealt with my issue quickly & extremely professionally. Happy customer!!

County Battery Services charged me over £250 o replace a Gocycle 1 battery. When returned, the charger (which they had used) did not run through the same sequence. I sent the battery and charger back and yet they claimed all was fine. A dozen attempted/part charges later I have a charger that won’t light at all and a dead battery. I don’t think Gocycle should be recommending this firm at all. Let’s find out how good their 1 year warranty really is…

Prompt service battery rebuilt and returned in a week
Complete with a new charger as the old one was incompatible with the new bms

No shop around my area would help me with my Ebike battery, because it wasn't a Bosch battery. I found this company online & they recelled my original battery & my Ebike is as good as new. I will use this company again & I will recommend this company to my friends & family

Only left 1 star, as minus 5 not available.
Previously dealt with Nuthall branch for over 30 years, but now run by complete and utter useless, unhelpful, patronizing, lying muppets.
Told me they would order a battery, but never bothered and then lied to me, saying it was unavailable.
Then when I said I could easily buy it elsewhere online, 'top sales and business man of the year' Nuthall staff member, told me in that case he recommended I should buy it elsewhere. Unbelievable. A shop employee who recommends you to buy elsewhere. So I did.
Talk about turkeys voting for Christmas. Good luck with that one.
Then with a previously bought battery which expired well within 5 year guarantee, said at head office they would test on the spot and replace if necessary.
Except that when presented (again at Nuthall), they didn't.
Yet again, Nuthall loser made out had to use special charger and next day magically said battery ok.
Thinks I'm as daft as he is.
So I was left with no battery, broke down. Cheers.
Beware: 5 year 'guarantee' not worth the paper it is written on.
'No quibble' guarantee? They couldn't quibble more if they tried.
They just get out of it and won't replace.
And when they say 'we'll ring you', they don't; don't waste your time giving your number, they took my number on both occasions, I had a feeling the smarmy git wasn't going to ring me and I was right. They didn't, neither time.
They had no intention of doing so, it just fobs you off.
Complained about staff member to head office, but nothing done, he's still there, still an obnoxious, unhelpful liar.
And I don't like being lied to.
Avoid at all costs, absolutely the worst (non) service ever come across.

Go absolutely out of your way to buy anywhere else you possibly can; they don't value your custom, they don't care and if you get the loser I did, they certainly won't help you.

Ben, for clarity: the car had done 350 miles then parked for 2 days with all electrical equipment off. Yet battery was then dead as a Dodo and did not recover after jump start/driving 12 miles and a 2 hour charge on an 8 amp battery charger. Still flat as a pancake. Car alternator output checked and is fine. Funny how your battery fine for 2 years then just completely duff, yet you say rather fancifully, is fine.
Well, I don't think so somehow, sunshine.
You've been warned, avoid at all cost.

We were looking for a very specific pair of batteries which County Battery Sevices were able to provide after many others could not. We then had a charging issue with one of the batteries which CBS went above and beyond to help with! Would highly recommend!

I am really impressed by County Batteries, I have always bought my wife’s stairlift and wheelchair batteries from them and I have just come home after taking her stairlift batteries back after they failed and they swapped them for new ones without hesitation. I asked about better batteries and wanted to pay the difference and they did the upgrade for free and apologised for the old ones failing. Thank you sooooo much County Batteries 😁👍

Very well organised, fast and quality service.

I had my mobility scooter battery rebuilt with this company. The whole process from start to finish was absolutely brilliant. The battery was picked up by courier, rebuilt by them, and then returned, all well within a week! They also tested my charger and found that it wasn't working correctly, so made me a new one free of charge, saving me a lot of extra expense, as it is a very specific charger.
The battery is better than it has ever been and has made such a difference to how far I can go.
I would definitely use this company again!

Absolutely an amazing company with battery issues and they were utterly terrific 5 stars does not give this company enough credit and they use well known battery prices at very low prices with superb customer relations

Left a luggie scooter battery for 2 years on-board the scooter. Obviously not reading the instructions left me with a completely depleted battery. I thought I was going to pay a lot more than I did for a replacement battery however County Batteries refurbished it for a lot, lot less. I highly recommend this company. Do not be caught out by fly by night companies. Trust this company to treat you fairly, expertly and very quickly.
