This is not diy and a waste of money
This is not diy . Had to pay an ac company $350 to connect the lines because they needed to be vacuumed and the average diy’r can not do it. You either have to spend a few hundred dollars to buy a vacuum and another $35 to buy an adapter to connect it. If I knew it wasn’t a true diy project I would have never bought it . For the $800 total I paid I would have spent another couple hundred dollars and bought a Mr. Cool . Plus this is in a 12x24 very well insulated building and it won’t get the temperature lower than 85° when it’s 92° outside. This is a complete waste of money and an utterly disappointment.

Just installed the ac unit I’m pretty…
Just installed the ac unit I’m pretty handy so it was easy for my first time. Only problem I have was that the manual is somewhat misguided. The gauge wiring is indicated for the internal parts of the AC not for the external so keep that in mind. Also the service port for the low pressure gauge states it’s a half an inch when in fact it’s 5/16 “ I almost broke the valve trying to fully screw in the adapter to the service port.

Only been running for right at a week. So far so good. Package was undamaged and price was good. All parts seem adequate. Flare fittings all looked good, and the rest of the install was smooth. Works as advertised.

We ordered our new unit on a Tuesday afternoon, the unit arrived in two boxes the very next day. Installation was very clear. Plenty of videos to help with the process. The unit works very well and we plan to purchase another unit for our converted garage which is now living space.
