We just love our Cussins home. We were out for a walk in Dec 23 and decided to have a look at the show home as we just loved the style of the houses but never thought we would end up buying one. Carol was amazing so helpful and friendly. She showed us the last Juniper and we loved it so much that we decided there and then to buy it. The house is everything we wanted - we’ve been here just over a year. If we did have any issues we contacted Cussins support team and they sorted them out super quick with the site manager Keith - he was so helpful too. I would highly recommend buying a Cussins home they are so well built. My daughter and her boyfriend have just moved into a new Cussins Daisy on Summerson Place too.

I recently purchased a plot at Eccleston Park in Backworth, and although my move-in date is six weeks away, I’ve been thoroughly impressed with the experience so far. The team has been excellent, and I’d especially like to highlight our sales advisor, Lauren. She has been friendly, approachable, and professional throughout the process. Lauren has addressed all of my queries and concerns promptly and effectively, which has made the journey smooth and reassuring.

Reserved a plot in February and set to complete in September. Lauren has always been in contact with updates on the progression of my new build. Also I feel as though I can call into the sales office whenever for any queries I might have. Cussins and Lauren have made my first time buyers experience a joyful and smooth process.

Carol and the team at Summerson Place were fantastic from day one. There was a lot support and advice on the fixings and options, and they were happy to help out with any requests I had during the building phase.

Support has been great since I’ve moved in, a couple of minor issues were fixed very quickly by the site team.

Compared to other new build developers, for me the quality and the support are second to none at Cussins

Great experience dealing with Caroline from the riverside development. Friendly, knowledgeable and kept upto date throughout the process despite our chain collapsing a few times I found them patient and understanding and so glad we made the move as we love living here ! Would recommend and buy again with Cussins.

We moved into the house just over a year ago. From coming to look at the plot to then getting the keys everything was great. Carol was very helpful, explaining all offers and how the process works. We received updates monthly if not weekly of how the house was coming along. Once we moved into the house we had a few slight issues with the taps and they were resolved quickly within the same week. Would highly recommend.

I reserved a house earlier this year on Phase 1 at Eccleston Park and due to move in around September but have had an amazing experience with Cussins so far, Lauren in particular who has been fantastic from reserving the home to assisting with picking our choices. Lauren has been brilliant with her communication with multiple questions and queries being asked and always responding to our requests in a timely manner.

This is the second new build we will have purchased and this one through Lauren has been completely stress free! We can’t wait to move into our home and if it’s anything as good as Lauren has been then we will have no issues.

I reserved a house late autumn last year and from the outset, Cussins, well, Lauren Sykes in particular, has been an utter pleasure to deal with. Her communication and knowledge has been brilliant and has really helped me as a first time new build purchaser. Even down to choosing my options, her advice was brilliant and allowed me to avoid making mistakes in my choices. I was apprehensive about buying a new build however I would do it a million times over giving my experience purchasing through Lauren. As far as buying houses goes, my experience has been truly stress free. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend buying through Cussins.

Cussins at Backworth

Recently bought a house through Cussins at Backworth. Love the house and the spec.

The site team have been fantastic in catering to all needs.

Graeme and Neil have been very helpful through out the build process and post completion. Epecially helpful with moving in, getting settled and providing regular check ins to ensure all is to a high standard.

They have been attentive to all needs and keen to resolve any minor snagging issues raised in a professional and friendly manner.

We have been in our new home since April 2024. The help of Carol in the show home led to a quick and easy purchase and she was always happy to help with all our enquiries. I love the look of our Cussins home and the quality of the finish. We’ve had a few minor issues which were sorted out quickly . The site manager Keith and all the staff are also very friendly and helpful. I would recommend Cussins to anyone looking for a new build especially at Summerson Place.

Been in our new build 10 month now and couldn't be any happier . Caroline sainthouse (sales) to David and Andrew ( site managers ) have been amazing with my snag list and to be honest not many fro a new build. Quality workmanship through out and would hesitate to recommend cussins

Purchased the Lilly home in march 2025 and the house has changed my life. The floor plan is perfect for open plan living especially the family room/kitchen that is perfect space for bringing your garden into your living space. The fittings and fixtures are if a very high quality that is not appreciated until you start living in the house. It’s warm. Spacious and beautiful. Carol from there sales office was very patient with me and could not have been more helpful in the whole buying process. I am a very happy customer.

We had an excellent experience with Cussins. We bought our house before the stamp duty went up. Carol was great from start to finish helping us the whole way to ensure we could beat the stamp duty in time! Cannot fault the team. Keith the site manager has also been very proactive with the snag list and very responsive.
Overall, the experience of buying our first home has been great and can only thank Carol for her support!

The whole experience has been easy from start to finish. With working away we worried that buying a new build would be stressful with us not being able to visit and check in as much as we would like. But Carol at the Darlington sales office made sure we were up to date at every step with regular photos and updates on where the build was at. Also fitting our meeting for options and other crucial parts around our busy schedule. This service made what was a chance visit into a home we before could only dream of. The finish and quality of our home is to be noted as only the best. Something that has been a running theme through the process. I would say cussins has a friendly personal touch that is built around the customer.

My partner and I have bought our first home from Cussins in the Summerson Place development. Carol could not have been more helpful throughout our experience and we are so happy with how the house is progressing ready to move in August.
