Beautifully built house with a reliable ,friendly support team.

Recently moved in to the new Cussins Riverside development in South Shields. Cannot fault the service we have received. Our house is of the highest standard and although there were a few snags, Andrew organised for the contractors to come and sort everything out.

Caroline was a pleasure to deal with from the moment we placed our deposit. Can't wait to have her back on the estate as she sells the houses from the next phase. Thank you so much!

We really love our new home from Cussins. The build quality and the finishing touches included in the base price are of a high standard. Carol Norman, the Sales Advisor, was excellent and supported us throughout the whole experience. The customer service team at their head office in Alnwick have always been very efficient and supportive in addressing any snagging issues we've had. The site itself is well laid out and spacious.

We are in the process of purchasing with Cussins and the customer service has been amazing. Lauren has been a massive help with answering any of our questions. She has made the experience a lot easier for us.

I would strongly caution anyone considering using Cussins for their home. From the beginning, communication was poor, timelines were constantly pushed, and the quality of work was far below what was promised. After moving in, we quickly discovered numerous issues ranging from faulty electrical work, poor plumbing and heating to uneven flooring and countless visible construction defects.
Despite multiple attempts to reach out, the builder has shown little interest in addressing the problems. Promises were made to send someone out to fix things, but those were either delayed repeatedly or simply never followed through. It’s been months, and we are still living with issues that should have been resolved before we even moved in.
For the amount of money we spent, the end result has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I would not recommend this builder to anyone looking for a reliable, quality-focused home construction company.

From start to finish, our experience purchasing a home from Cussins at Riverside, South Shields has been nothing short of exceptional. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and far exceeded our expectations for a new build purchase.

What truly made the experience stand out was the level of care and professionalism shown by the on-site team—particularly David Morrison (Site Manager) and Andrew Martin (Assistant Site Manager). Both David and Andrew have gone above and beyond to ensure our home was delivered to the highest standard.

They took the time to meticulously prepare the property ahead of completion and were incredibly responsive and proactive in addressing the initial snags we identified. Their attention to detail and willingness to take ownership made all the difference, turning what could have been a stressful process into a reassuring and positive one.

Thanks to their dedication and support, we’ve been able to settle into our new home with confidence and peace of mind. We’re genuinely grateful to the Cussins team—and especially to David and Andrew—for making this such a smooth and satisfying experience.

I started purchasing a property from Cussins in December 2024, and though somewhat anxious as I work out of the county, and often one hears of horror stories associated with new-builds, the whole process was completely trouble free. Caroline helped me all the way through and made the process very easy.
When I got the keys at the end of March - on time and without issue - Andrew was there to introduce me to the new our new home.
The quality of the property is second to none.

We first visited the Cussins Burgham Gardens development after being let down very badly by a local builder. Zoe understood immediately our need for openness and honesty plus the fact that we needed to move as quickly as possible. Once we chose our house, she brought all the relevant elements together and has kept things moving forward at a great pace throughout the process, whilst treating us with the utmost care and respect.
Following our move, Site Manager Mark and his team have continued that trend by supporting us with our small snagging list and answering any questions. Thanks to all of you for supporting our move and making it so easy for us.

We love the Riverside site. House is beautifully designed inside. We have a list of snagging but everything up to now has been dealt with promptly and to our satisfaction.
We are particularly happy with the staff Caroline in Sales Office is excellent and so is Andrew the site Manager.

We have recently moved onto a site in Northumberland and are very pleased with our house, despite living in the middle of a building site. As ever with house moves it was stressful getting to completion however Zoe in the sales office was very efficient and tried to help to get things moving along. Since we moved in we have a few snagging issues and we cannot fault Mark and his team when I comes to sorting the issues out. Most helpful and most things sorted in a few days. Quality of house and finish is good.

The building has got a very beautiful exterior and interior structure. It's so amazing. The environment is serene and safe. Plus the kindness of Carol Norman, the sales advisor. She's been so lovely and outstandingly supportive. We really love it because it's spacious, especially for the fact that we're gonna have another baby this month.

We had a lovely and supportive experience with Cussins West park Darlington. Caro gave us all the support we needed while struggling with getting our mortgage, she was always on the phone to us, took us to see the house severally just for reassurance and got us incentives for the house. We got the best house, was able to move in just in time for Christmas and 4months in we can't fault a thing.

We recently moved into our new. We are really happy with the layout and overall development, just what we wanted. All of the staff we have dealt with have been great, really helpful and friendly.

I had a really good experience with this builder compared to another builder we purchased a house from a few years ago

I would never buy another Cussins home. Buyers beware once they have your money they will not entertain fixing any faults and will mislead you from start to finish in the hope you give up fighting for what you have paid an extortionate amount of money for a sub standard product.

Would recommend. Moved into a new house with my husband and baby and the service has been great. The whole experience has been very smooth and professional.

Having looked at a few developments in Northumberland we settled on Cussins. The houses are simply better quality than the mass-production house builders. Granted there were some issues to sort out but the site manager bent over backwards to get things sorted. Thanks again

I had a great experience buying my new Cussins home. I had very few snags with my property, with any small issues needing resolved done so quickly and to a great standard. Every staff member I dealt with was really helpful and knowledgeable. Absolutely love my home and would not hesitate to purchase another Cussins home in the future.
