I have used Newcastle cruise for every cruise I have been on, which is quite a few, Andrew has been brilliant every time, all our transfers ,hotels and cruises have been amazing, best prices around,
Andrews communication is spot on as are his recommendations, celebrity cruises are favourite cruise liners, our next adventure is Australia on the celebrity Edge

We have used Andrew on a couple of occasions now. The most recent was an Alaskan cruise with stays at start and finish. Flights spot on, hotels decent and cruise exceptional. I used to book all my cruises myself, but using an agent like Andrew who is also a cruise customer, makes for a much easier process and definitely better pricing.

Had first class experience booking my Italian rivera cruise with andrew last year and have booked another cruise again for this year , never had any issues with contacting him and found him very helpful

We have used Newcastle Cruise Club several times now and have always received 1st class service and nothing is ever too much trouble but they really came into their own on our latest Cruise from Singapore to Hong Kong when we got stuck in Hong due to the Middle East air space embargo - we had flights cancelled, rebooked and cancelled several times but Andrew was always in touch and managed to get flights back to the UK via Beijing and we only ended up home 72 hours later than we should have - we can't praise them enough and will always be our first choice Cruise company

Beware of this company. The owner is very rude and he has no idea what customer service is. Dont expect any level of customer service once youve parted with your money.

We booked a cruise of a party of 8 in Aug/Sept 2025.
Andrew was helpful regarding information and the booking itself.
The price for the cruise was extremely competitive compared to other cruise providers.
We would not hesitate to book with this company again.

Andrew is quick to take your money then just leaves you to it.... i asked my friend znd her sister to join us on a holiday of a life time to hong kong cruise round asia singepore n then to maldives..my friend updated to premium cost a lot of money took the money didnt tell her she needed to pay extra money to sit with her sister.
I phoned him a number of times asking for help as i could not get on the app he was very very rude to me said i was doing something wrong only to find out he had put my wrong date of birth down he causee me a lot of stress ...he did not appologise i txt him n said appology would be apprecaited...
I asked him for confirmation to say he had changed date of birth even offerd to pay for the paper he said no.
He said he didint like my attitude im a 64 yr old women who just wanted to book a holiday n enjoy...
It was ver stressful really was

Andrew is rude arrogant no customer service what so ever
He just take your money and leaves you to it.. he does not explain about hidden charges (ie apply for a visa when you get to maldives this could of been done before we arrivee saving time) we missed our transfer had to pay extra for the transfer...

Loved our Celebrity Cruise this year but I would personally book through a different agent/direct with Celebrity. We were let down by Andrew at Newcastle Cruise Club with our transfers from Rome airport to the ship 1.5 hours away. It seems that they weren't booked/were cancelled, Andrew told us to get a taxi and he would reimburse us, £230 and he never replied to an email or voice message...and I left several. Very disappointing!

Booked a Celebrity cruise in September 23. Company director Andrew Mackie (for info according to companies house Newcastle Cruise Company is now a dissovled company) was very helpful and quick with queries. I was a bit nervous about booking due to lack of reviews however did appear to be ATOL protected. I would now understand the lack of reviews as I would image he has switched them off.

Upon full payment Andrews attitude flicked like a light switch. Previous to full payment I explained I had a £500 future cruise credit. He said this wasn’t correct and Celebrity had a lot of new foreign call staff. I explained they confirmed I did several times and it was applied to my booking however he denied. After full payment it transpired it was applied therefore I overpaid Andrew £500 extra. Celebrity explained the company would of been fully aware of this before I made the full payment. Celebrity explained Newcastle Cruise Company would need to send us an invoice however he refused to do this.

I attempted to make contact multiple occasions via email and phone to rectify. I kept getting the same answer he would look into it however never did. His communication was extremely unprofessional and child like. He has since stopped answering emails. I did get through via phone however made an excuse he was on a call, hung up and then has never answered my calls since.

As Celebrity explained he would have been fully aware of the £500 credit being applied to the account 10+ days before I made full payment therefore it would appear Andrew had full intention of overcharging me and keeping the £500 for himself. I’m sure I could argue this in court as to me is fraudulent.

Let this be a warning as it appears to be a reoccurring theme on what little reviews can be found on the company.

Wouldn't touch them with a bargepole! Rude and abrupt service from Andrew.

Andrew Mackie was very helpful to start with and up until the moment we confirmed that we would carry on with the booking for our cruise which was delayed by a year … he then changed !! .. not for the better and I would never use this company again … rude and obnoxious sums him up .. right up until 4 weeks before, we had a checkout date of 15th Feb 2024 .. which was stated throughout all of the correspondence that we received .. about 14 emails … it was changed to check out on 14th Feb 2024 ..he said .. that this was a “typo” !! … we had to pay extra for a late checkout on the 14th and were not refunded the night of the 15th which was included on our invoice throughout
Very unhappy and will never use this company again.

I Booked a cruise 18 months ago and the cruise was cancelled due to Covid. I Spent the next year trying to obtain a refund from Newcastle Cruise Club, however its joint owner Andrew Mackie made excuse after excuse as to why the refund was not being made. Eventually we managed to contact Princess cruises ourselves and got some of the money back.

Newcastle cruise club refused to refund the rest of the package holiday. We contacted the travel agents who had sold them the flights and they confirmed they had refunded Newcastle Cruise Club in one instance & had given them a full credit note for the other flight. This evidence shows that they were withholding our money with no due reason.

After taking legal advice we took this matter to the small claims court. Newcastle Cruise Club didn't even bother to submit a defence or attend the hearing. We won the hearing & the judge ordered Newcastle Cruise Club to refund the remaining balance of our holiday. They have refused to pay within the timescale provided by the judge and we will need to take further legal action against them.

I would avoid this company at all costs, as they are dishonest and have caused us nothing but stress and upset for the last 18 months. We are an elderly couple and had saved up for the cruise to celebrate our anniversary & have been left out of pocket.
