The lady is delusional, she kept repeating that she has over 30 years of experience but the whole process was traumatising to me and my cat. Big no!!!
The cut was not finished, charged me an absolute fortune.

I was disappointed with my experience. Despite providing detailed information by email, the responses were often just one-line "yes" or "no" replies, without addressing my questions. After several days of waiting, I received a phone call asking for information that had already been discussed in our email correspondence, including the service required and parking arrangements. I was then told the grooming would be carried out in my home, with the warning that it would be messy, which hadn't been clearly communicated beforehand.

The lack of clear communication and organisation left me with little confidence, so I decided to cancel the appointment rather than risk further problems. Unfortunately, this resulted in wasted time and unnecessary frustration.

I'm not surprised this groomer has a 1.5-star rating on Trustpilot.

My experience was disappointing from the very first phone call. I contacted her last week to enquire about booking a grooming appointment for my kitten. As a first-time cat owner, I simply had a few questions before confirming a booking.

During the conversation, the tone felt quite dismissive and unwelcoming. She repeatedly emphasised how experienced she is and spoke in a way that felt somewhat condescending because I am new to cat ownership. I asked about grooming options, specifically whether a water bath might be possible and how it compares to a waterless bath. I understand that water baths can sometimes stress cats, and I was only seeking professional advice on what might be best.

Instead of explaining this calmly, I was told that giving my cat a water bath would be “torturing” my cat. I found this comment unnecessary and unprofessional, especially when I was simply trying to learn what would be appropriate for my kitten.

I did not confirm the booking at the time because I felt uncomfortable with the tone of the conversation. However, this morning she messaged me again asking if I was still interested in the grooming appointment. Although I was hesitant after the earlier interaction, I do need my kitten to be groomed, so I decided to confirm the booking.

Before she arrived, I had already sent my full home address along with clear instructions on how to find my flat. Shortly before the appointment, she called and asked where my place was. From our window we could see that she had parked in a random area of the building where parking is restricted.

While she was on the phone asking for directions, my husband kindly informed her that she should park in the visitor parking area to avoid being fined. She replied “thanks”, but in what came across as an annoyed tone, and then ended the call quite abruptly.

We continued looking out the window to see if she had managed to find the visitor parking space, as she mentioned during the call that she could not locate it. In reality, the visitor parking area was directly behind her car. A short while later, we saw her drive away without any further communication. The appointment was effectively cancelled without any message or explanation.

The interaction felt very unprofessional and discourteous. From the phone call to the way the appointment was handled, the level of customer service was extremely disappointing.

After this experience, I decided to look up her reviews online and realised there are many negative reviews on Trustpilot. In hindsight, I should have done more research before contacting her. I also noticed from other reviews that the business appears to have operated under different company names. I originally contacted her through her old website - “The Mobile Cat Groomer”.

In the end, it may be for the best that the appointment did not go ahead, as the overall experience did not give me confidence in how my kitten would have been treated.

Based on this experience, I would advise other pet owners to carefully review the feedback available online before booking. A professional groomer should communicate respectfully and handle appointments reliably, especially when working with pet owners who are simply seeking guidance.

This lady has now changed company name: The Roaming Cat Groomer and relocated to Derbyshire.

I carried out quite a bit of research and feel it’s important to share what I found so others can make an informed decision.

The individual listed on the website as “Louise” corresponded with me via email under the name Katherine Stevens. During my research, I also found that Katherine Stevens previously traded under the name “The Mobile Cat Groomer.”

When I searched further, I came across a number of negative reviews — not just on Trustpilot, but on other review platforms and forums as well. The themes within those reviews raised enough concern for me that I decided it would be in the best interest of my pets to cancel the booking.

I cannot comment on the service personally as I did not proceed with the appointment. However, based on the information available online, I would strongly advise anyone considering this service to conduct thorough research, check multiple review sources, and satisfy themselves fully before booking.

I wish I had read reviews on this so called groomer before I had her come to de-Matt my female shorthair cat. I normally do read reviews but sadly this time I didn’t.
First dealing with her was on the phone and she did come across as quite full on and I couldn’t get a word in edge ways. She went on about the poor food that causes matting in cats thats made in China. I did say well how comes my other cat hadn’t got Matt’s and she said it’s because he’s out hunting, the cat I had groomed doesn’t go out much and is very timid.

She turned up on time the day of appointment but sat for about 15 mins talking about herself and her job and that she has a small Cattery too.
Eventually she said let’s get on with it and wanted an ironing board to put my cat on, so it was high.
She then got the dematting comb on her and gave her a few harsh brushes with it, then let her go. Waited a few minutes then started with the clippers, hacking away at different parts of where the matts were. She had to keep stopping as my cat can be very feisty. Cut a long story short, one side of my cat is patches the other side is nearly shaved and there is still some odd little ones still there. She even got me to hold my cat by the scruff of the neck while she did the shaving.
But before she had even finished, she said let’s get payment done before I finish. £85 + £15 for her travel.
I agree with a lot of these reviews, she is very abrupt and not very professional at all.
She should not be let loose on any animal.
It all really didn’t sink in until an hour after she had gone and I thought it all a bit surreal and then thats when I googled her company.
PLEASE AVOID THIS PERSON!! DONT GET SUCKED IN LIKE I DID. I felt so sorry that my poor cat had to go through that.

Avoid avoid Had a booking confirmation for 2pm a week ago then received a text saying be there at 10am which was not good as I needed to give Charlie my Cat gabapentin before his groom to calm him down she said okay she would come at two in that case which was the time we had booked and it would give me time to give him gabapentin at 1 o'clock I'll get a phone call saying our car wasn't working and therefore she wouldn't be there that day but might be there at five. She never showed up so today we had another booking for 2 o'clock the same time today I've got a text early asking did I still want my cat groomed? I replied yes I did bear in mind the booking was for two. then I'll get a text back saying she'll be there at 12. I said okay I would give Charlie his gabapentin. See her at 12. She turned up just after that time came into my shop when I was on the telephone my wife spoke to her and said I'll be two minutes and then came into my shop two minutes later to find she had left and driven away. She would not answer any of my phone calls my wife then called her. She gave my wife a load of abuse saying clearly we didn't care about our cat . We weren't good pets owners even though at this point we still wanted our cat groomed and we've given him gabapentin sedative so that he would be okay for This. She said she might consider coming back and that was the last of it. She never returned when I've got in from work tonight I've seen all these reviews and totally agree 100% with every single one of them. This woman is to be avoided at all costs and must be avoided. If I could put no stars I would. Was given a time slot today between 12 and 2 for my cat to be groomed. This appointment was booked via email at the beginning of last week. She confirmed you had my details etc and would see me today.
Surprise surprise she did not turn up 😡. I emailed her and hours later I got an email back to say she did not have my address or phone number which of course was a load of rubbish. No apology nothing.
I like many others wish I had read reviews before i contacted her.
To be honest I think me and my cat have had a lucky escape.

An extremely awful experience whereby this woman attended my daughter's flat to groom her cat. She used a metal comb to tug out matted knots from the long haired cat. She terrorised the poor cat so much, who then ran off and hid under the bed; she was shaking and urinating in fear. This woman (Katherine) insisted my daughter held her cat whilst she literally tortured her. Horrendous, sad and awful experience. Avoid at all costs - please ensure you read all reviews on various multiple platforms and search engines. Do not use and save yourself and your cat from the ordeal.. Unhinged!

Minimal communication - Waited in for this lady to come. After waiting 40 mins I went out. She replied 1.5 hours after she should have arrived saying she was sorry. No mention of re booking or that she was on her way. Don’t waste your time. From other reviews I’m glad this has happened.

If I could give this incompetent person a 0 I would. My biggest regret is not checking the reviews before hand and wasting my time booking in. She called and then ended the call and left a voice mail saying she was lost and couldn’t find the address. I instantly called her back and showed the house on google maps stating it was easy to find. She completely ignored every message and didn’t pick up. From reading everyone’s reviews I can tell I had a lucky escape because she seems to get a kick out of booking appointments and not showing up and also seems to treat cats very nasty. Lucky escape. DO NOT BOOK

After reading these reviews, I felt I had to chip in with my mostly positive experience.

Yes she was late and struggled to find the property. She also made some political comments which were a bit unnecessary.

But, she was very good with my cat. My cat is usually very nervous around people and was comfortable with Katherine. She also told me that some of the fur matting issues were due to my cat's diet. Guess what, she was correct! After we switched to James Wellbeloved at her recommendation, our cats fur issues and digestion improved greatly.

So while she is eccentric, she knows a thing or two about cat nutrition.

What an awful, unprofessional individual. She has no interest in our cats wellbeing. She hacked away in patches. We complained and asked for a partial refund as she charged us £90. She did not remove all the mats and told us our cat was badly behaved. If I could give no stars, I would. She should not be in business. She is not completely sane. She did not seem at all experienced and showed no customer service. She was 2 hours late!

I wish I had seen these reviews before I booked. Abrupt communication, an hour late, then required escorting from nearby town in car as could not use sat nav. Was here less than 15 mins, hands on cats for less than 5 mins total, crossly told us my cats didn’t need grooming, and left. Charged me £165 for the 2 cats anyway. I will never be using her again and firmly recommend you don’t either.

If I could give no stars I would . Booked appointment in good faith. Never sent any message to say she maybe running late . After I cancelled can then manage to answer saying I was making mountain out of mole hill. Not quite sure what is is all about but avoiding

Had an appointment booked for 12pm today and kept my cat inside all morning but Katherine was a no show and no contact to let me know. Having come across these reviews while trying to find a phone number to see where she was, it looks like it was a lucky escape! Very strange.

As a lot of people have written, her msgs were very simple responses.
She arrived and was nice at first.
Asked about what I feed my cat and what needs to be changed with this diet etc. Fair point above the overfeeding.
She asked about what type of grooming I’ve done so far on him.
I explained that I’ve brushed him and I explained as he is a Maine coon he is abit of a scardy cat of loud noises etc.
I mean she then asked me to bring down our ironing board as she needs something high, this did immediately put red flags up for me.
She then grabbed him by the scruff and bushed him ONCE, she then l let him go and said let him get used to the setting and then immediately switched on the trimmer, and before the trimmer when she was brushing him I literally said it looks like it’s hurting him and she was like no it’s fine it don’t hurt.
She made me and my family member also grab him by the scruff and neck I felt so bad but obviously at this stage thinking is this normal whist grooming. Clearly it wasn’t.
She trimmed some matts off but terrible trimming very close to skin which was/is very pink.
At this point he was panting and very very stressed so let him go and stopped.
Msged me after saying please transfer the £100, I msged back saying you never even gave him a proper brush, she claimed that he was over ‘half his body matted’ which is absolutely not true, and said that I gave advice.
I booked for grooming service not advice service.
Thereafter I looked at reviews online and realised that I had been made fool, and subject to this poor poor service as well, and my poor cat is traumatised.
Her website claims she sets up her equipment - how is asking someone to bring down there ironing board setting up your own equipment.
Very very bad, please do not book.

Very unprofessional, avoid it at all costs. I provided my full address to her as well as stood outside my door so she could see me. She did not show up when I called her said she could not find the place and just left didn't even have the decency to call, she then went on to complain about how she was walking around with a heavy bag struggling to find the house even though the house is easy to find and the full address was given. Save your time and money go to any one else.

Awful and unprofessional woman!

She didn’t bother to turn up and wasted my whole morning, and then had the audacity to claim she couldn’t find my doorbell.
Do not use her, I have just seen her horrendous reviews! My cat had a lucky escape!

What a horrid horrid little creature
I’d booked her previously under another name and her service was just atrocious. Said cats didn’t need bathing and used Vaseline to clean his face and brush his coat. No trimming or removing knots.
Booked again today and she was so rude because I asked if she would clean / brush my cats teeth (we got a dental brush and paste for his gum infection from vet) The silly woman was so derogatory, it was unbelievable. I told her exactly what I thought of her and promptly blocked her. What a nasty piece of work. Please avoid at all cost.
