We’re sorry the bundle wasn’t what you expected, but we’d like to clarify how our plant bundles work.

Our bundles are sold as assortments based on current availability and suitability, and we do not guarantee a specific number of different varieties unless the product listing specifically states otherwise. A 10-plant bundle can therefore contain multiples of the same varieties.

We understand that you expected greater variety, and we appreciate your feedback about making that clearer in the description.

We’re especially sorry this experience was disappointing because you mentioned that you’ve been a happy TN Nursery customer in the past. We appreciate your previous business and hope we have an opportunity to earn your confidence again.

Since you’re waiting to see how the plant grows, we hope you’ll come back and update your 3-star review once it emerges and establishes. Many of our bare-root plants are entering dormancy now and may not show their real growth until next spring.

We’re sorry you were disappointed, but sage naturally has a very small root system when shipped bare-root. What looks like “no root development” compared with a larger perennial can actually be normal planting stock for sage.

Root systems vary tremendously between plant species, and a tiny root does not mean the plant is dead or nonviable.

Once planted, the sage will develop additional roots underground. Since we’re entering dormancy, you may not see substantial visible growth until next spring.

Please give it its full establishment period before determining that it has failed.

Thank you for your review! We’re glad you received more bare-root plants than you expected.

Bare-root perennials can be surprisingly small, and the size naturally varies from plant to plant and species to species. A small root does not mean it is unhealthy or won’t grow.

Once planted at the proper depth, the roots will establish underground. Since we’re entering the dormant season, you may not see much above-ground activity until next spring.

We hope those extra roots give you an even fuller display when everything emerges!

We’re sorry you’re disappointed, but please don’t throw the Ironweed away or assume it has failed based on what you see above ground right now.

Ironweed is a bare-root perennial, and we are now entering its natural fall dormancy period. Bare-root plants can look like little more than sticks or roots when they arrive. Any temporary top growth may also die back as the plant enters dormancy—that does not necessarily mean the root system has died.

At this point in the season, the plants are establishing below the soil and may not produce their real visible growth until next spring.
Please keep all four planted through winter and allow them a full spring growing cycle before determining they failed. We hope you’ll be pleasantly surprised and will update your review when they emerge.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad your plants arrived, but we’re sorry the outer package was partially opened during transit. Unfortunately, packages can occasionally be damaged while being handled by the carrier.

The QR code is designed to take customers to our planting-instructions section, where planting information is provided for the different types of bare-root plants we sell. We use digital instructions rather than placing individual printed instructions in every package.

We appreciate your suggestion about making the instructions more specific and easier to navigate. That is useful feedback, and we’ll take it into consideration as we continue improving our packaging and planting resources.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review and for recognizing our customer service.

Since we are entering fall dormancy, Pawpaw leaves can naturally develop spots, discoloration, holes, or generally look rough before dropping for the season. The foliage you see now is temporary—the important part is getting the tree established so it can produce healthy new growth next spring.

We also appreciate your suggestion about including plant-specific care cards. We currently provide planting and care information through the QR code included with our shipments, but your feedback about making instructions even easier to access is appreciated.

Thank you for your review. Please don’t assume your Blue Flag Iris have failed simply because they haven’t sprouted yet.

Blue Flag Iris are shipped bare-root and dormant, and we are now entering their natural fall dormancy period. At this time of year, they may focus entirely on establishing their root systems underground and not produce visible growth until next spring.

Please leave them planted through winter and give them their normal spring growing cycle. We hope you’ll come back and update your review when those beautiful Blue Flag Iris emerge!
