Expectations not met.
Waited a long time for delivery and was disappointed with quality and fit of both items. Although the same size, one was too big and the other too tight. I was also very annoyed to find returns had to be sent back to China and not a uk address, incurring a hefty postage charge. Their items are attractive and different from the norm but I won’t be reordering.

Absolutely terrible!!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM YORK FASHION!!!!
They are scammers and advertise something on the website then send you a terrible cheap version, in my case it was sandals and they looked great online but they arrived with a woman’s heel and made of plastic.
They still haven’t refunded me.
Shocking they are still in business.
Customer service is non existent.

UNFORTUNATELY, THE TRUSTPILOT SYSTEM DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO GIVE THIS THOROUGHLY AWFUL COMPANY ZERO STARS !! This review is an UPDATE to my previous review and the response from York Fashion. I really can’t stress enough just how bad this company are in literally every single way. As previously stated the product quality is diabolical. The returns procedure is completely impractical and the chances of getting a refund given that the goods will more than likely be lost or held in customs is virtually nil. As an alternative to returning the substandard products, they offer a relatively minuscule discount. This results in you ending up with products that are only fit for the bin as well as being substantially out of pocket.
PLEASE IGNORE York Fashion response to my original review. This was simply written in an attempt to try and make them look reasonable and understanding which they most definitely are not. My wife emailed them at their request to establish a satisfactory resolution. The response from Melissa (probably not her real name) was typically unreasonable with absolutely no offer of a meaningful resolution other than the offer to guide us through their unworkable and somewhat ridiculous returns process.
The reason York Fashion has a reasonable Trustpilot rating is due to their underhand request for you to place a Trustpilot review based on the ordering process. This ensures that unsuspecting purchasers actually place reviews prior to even receiving the goods. So of course, because the ordering process is relatively simple, they get a five star review which gives them a totally misleading rating.
THIS COMPANY SHOULD NOT BE PERMITTED TO TRADE IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND I WILL BE CONTACTING TRADING STANDARDS TO ESTABLISH WHAT ACTION CAN BE TAKEN.
UPDATE: PLEASE IGNORE THEIR MEANINGLESS RESPONSE. They did absolutely nothing whatsoever to resolve the matter.

I am not sure this company deserves…
I am not sure this company deserves even one star.
The RETURNS PROTOCOL is deliberately obstructive - you have to return to their warehouse in Asia. So why it’s named “York Fashion” is anyone’s guess (but probably to make you think it’s from a solid, honest area of England)
And then their lengthy email goes on to say:
“Before you decide, I did want to make sure you have all the details. Returns are shipped back to our warehouse in Asia at the customer's expense, and a 15% restocking fee on the order value is deducted from your refund once the items are received. This fee covers inspection, processing, and inventory handling.”
…which will most likely take a chunk out of the money to be returned to your account.
You are then offered a 10% refund to save you the bother of posting back.
I shall certainly NEVER buy any further items from YORK FASHION.
Nowadays it’s so easy to return online purchases… but this company makes is disproportionately & unnecessarily difficult. It’s a cynical ploy.

I ordered 2 dresses one fitted and I kept, even though the quality was not brilliant (I needed it for a performance). The other did not fit and didn't look like the picture on line. The items took ages to arrive. When I tried to return the item that didn't fit, they suggested just giving a percentage discount and keeping the item. The other option was to return the item to their warehouse in China at my expense. I did so, but the Chinese customs authority rejected the item and it has not been returned to me. The company have now declined to give me any sort of refund as too great a time has elapsed. I would strongly advise you NOT to purchase from this company in view of slow service, poor quality and problematic, expensive returns service.

This company is a 5 star joke. If you need to send something back you can’t unless you pay a large amount to send it back to China. I know because I did and 3 months later the parcel was not able to be delivered and is being sent back to the UK. The AI generated response each time I wrote to them was sympathetic but unable to give me any help. Please do not buy anything from this company

This company dissembles immensely. Based in China, it gives the impression of a cosy mother and daughter boutique based in the city of York, UK. Their delivery takes weeks, the returns policy deducts a 15% ‘restocking fee’ and returns are discouraged at every stage. Do not trust them.

BEWARE! Complete scam.
I bought the Phoebe linen shift dress (£42 ). It is made of some dreadful synthetic polymer with no inside label identifying what it’s made of or washing instructions.
When I raised a return query I was told I had to send it back to China and pay £15 restocking costs!
They then offered me a £4.60 refund which they later increased to a very generous £8 after I complained. The dress is currently advertised for £68.95
I’m going to take this up with Trading Standards and Watchdog.

Total scam
Total scam. All the stuff comes from China and is really really poor quality. The only way to get a refund is to post all the way back to China at your own cost. Or instead accept a 10% refund as a good gesture! Total rubbish, avoid!
When they offer to help you by emailing them it's all pointless unless you want to pay shipping costs back to China. Total waste of money and environmentally terrible.

Shocking experience
Shocking experience. Still waiting for my item ordered in July. They tell me confusion between their shippers to their courier. Then decide to tell me they tried to deliver to me, complete fabrication. They won't refund. Give me the same excuses and still waiting for an item that I forgotten what it looks like. Glitzy website / shocking reality! Yes, I am still waiting. I very rarely do reviews and especially not negative ones, I am completely at a loss with this one!
