A1 PARKING BRISTOL

What a shambles. Ok, first of all, I'll hold my hands up, when dropping my car off I completely forgot to ring the recommended 30/45 mins in advance and only rang 5 mins away, but I rang from a layby and could have waited there, however they said head to the short stay car park and someone will be there in 8-10 mins. About 40 minutes and 6 calls later they arrived costing me extra in parking fees. Not the added stress you want when you've got a flight to catch.

On our return to the UK, we made sure we rang as soon as we landed and still had to wait and hour for the car to arrive. This was at 2.30am. We were cold and exhausted. Safe to say, it is not the meet and greet experience they advertise!

(LUTON) For starters upon the email there was hidden fees of £20 for the van transport to and from the airport. this wasn’t mentioned when we first booked. We arrived at the location to very angry passengers and a van driver refusing to drive people to the airport.
We PAID for bus transport then paid for a separate uber to take us to the airport which was ALL unexpected.

On our return, I called fifty minutes in advance to let them know we were arriving.. to which we still had to wait over an hour after that call for someone to collect us.

When we asked where the parking was since we didn’t get it TO the airport, the person on the other end hung up… The van stunk of cigarettes and had us waiting once again. After setting off back to the car park, the drive wasn’t smooth and quite dangerous.

The part that annoyed me most was upon arrival, my car had the windows down, one of which (the front one) must’ve jammed or something but was BROKEN when i picked it up. The window will not do up again. I’ve travelled to a dodgy part of london now having to PRAY someone won’t stick their hand in my window and steal my car because someone at their company broke my drivers window.

For starters we struggled to find the place, when we eventually found it, we were shocked to find out it was actually in a farm on a person's property. We rang the number provided and they confirmed it was correct.
We got in parked the car - fine.

Coming home was a different story. We again called the number provided 30 minutes prior to us leaving arrivals in BRISTOL and no answer. We panicked thinking we'd be stuck. But kept calling until someone answered, when they finally did they told us 45-50 mins wait and to wait in the mini bus area.

We waited in the mini bus area, time goes on and we're wondering what's going on. Now we have 2 little children, shivering in the cold. We finally had a call off of someone called Dave saying we are being picked up by a van called rts travel, which baffled us because we got dropped in just a normal van, plus the company is called a1 so why is this van due to pick us up literally minutes later.

Little did we know, 10 minutes prior to this call (we didn't know rts was picking us up), we see a van pull up, an Asian man get off look at us, then carry on looking at his phone and drove off.

Minutes turn into an hour, and we call Dave back again and he is so so rude to me! Saying it's my fault I missed it, and I explain well we didn't know this company was picking us up as we booked with a1 & he is getting more and more rude to me. I do say rather shirty that I have two small children with me freezing and we've been waiting for an hour. I pass the phone to my husband because I can feel my blood boiling!!

When the fella eventually turns up, we look at him and say "you looked at us right in the face!" his excuse was "bus was too busy and no room for luggage" which was absolute bull cos the bus was empty from the people he dropped off!

Absolutely fuming still with this company, and I'm going to be taking this further. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE BUDGET PARKING ADVISED, PAY EXTRA UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE STOOD IN THE COLD FOR HOURS!!

I used A1 airport parking for valet parking at Bristol airport. On my return from holiday in June I met their driver and was handed over my vehicle. It was filthy! I think it was left in a muddy field because the wheels and underneath the car were coated in dry mud. For some reason the front passenger seat was fully reclined and the heating was set to hot in our hottest June ever. Was it slept in overnight? The interior was filthy. More annoying was the fact that my car used over a quater of a tank of fuel and had fifty eight miles on the clock from when I dropped it off. . I only live twenty miles from the airport. Where did they drive my car too? A bad experience for myself. Definitely won’t use them again.

AVOID at all costs (Bristol)! I am not even sure where to start with how awful the experience is and having read the review of others we got off lightly!
Arrival
- Location for park and ride- this is down a pothole ridden dirty track to a livery yard... then told to pay additional barrier transfer fee- at this point parking in a mainstream carpark is the same price. The drop off cost 8.50 per vehicle at the airport but everyone on the bus is charged, meaning they charged this 10 times on our trip- scam!
- We then waited in the dark on the dusty yard for a driver to turn up- make sure you have so much time to waste as possible as had we not been ahead of time we would have spent approx 45mins parking the car!
- I am pleased there were other people around as its pitch back in a dusty yard and feels like you are being scammed- which you are! the person that took our payment on his phone, had been drinking.

Make sure you take pictures of mileage! Another customer on our bus got driven to the airport in their own car as there were no minibuses running...

Collection
- Took over an hour to be collected
- The driver then tried to claim he had been there the whole time even though we literally saw him drive in, in an van that isnt marked correctly and he didnt call so we were looking at the van for at least ten minutes before I thought to double check, the signage is another travel company- unsettling!
- the driver then proceeded to text while doing over 70mph in a 50mph to the point we felt the need to ask him to stop texting- which he didnt.
- Key collection... there is a hut with everyone keys in bags, open to anyone, there was no-one to speak to so we found our own keys before the 'key guy' came over to check.
They were at least polite at the yard, the driving was shocking and you end up adding at least an hour either end of the travel to muck about with the parking and transfers. Just an awful experience- never again.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

ABSOLUTE JOKE. BOOKED MEET AND GREET AND WAS TOLD ENDLESS AMOUNTS OF LIES ON WHY IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE TO MEET AT AIRPORT BOTH WAYS. THEY HAVE A TERRIBLE CAR YARD WHERE THEY FORCE YOU INTO PARK AND RIDE WITH 20 OTHER FOLKS!

1 star is way too many for this company! We called to let them know that we were on our way as requested and the instructions given were difficult to understand and the person was quite rude. We called a further 4 times with calls either not being answered or the same person giving different instructions which did not make sense. We were then asked to send them a WhatsApp so they could send a location which we did but I am still waiting 2hours later! We decided to cut our losses and go elsewhere. Do yourselves a flavour and avoid at all costs! These people do not give a monkeys about you or your car!

don't buy this parking lot! you risk damaging your car, the road to the parking lot is disastrous, full of deep potholes! plus the transfer is not stellar, you wait hours to pick you up from the airport and on the phone he tells you he'll be there in 5 minutes but he shamelessly lies to you! it's basically not a parking lot, it's a farm! don't buy this!

I paid for a meet and greet service as I was going and coming the same day and didnt want to waste time waiting for shuttle. As I approached airport I was told to drop the car at some parking 10 minutes away. I barely made my flight. On my return I got the same treatment. The customer service response was very poor and they refused to refund me the difference. Stay away

I don’t recommend this company, the stuff is very rude l, unhelpful and not professional. On our return they asked for extra money otherwise they didn’t want to return the key from the car. The car wasn’t even parked at they car parking it was somewhere else, they left me waiting for the key over a hour. Very disappointed

DO NOT PARK HERE!
If you’re booking ‘budget park & ride and given the address: Home livery BS40 5EF, you’re best off paying the extra couple of quid and park in Bristol’s official car park.

This is some sort of dodgy unofficial company, you’ll be met with rude aggressive staff who don’t care about anything other than money, demand you pay extra even though your email said no hidden fees, your car will be scratched and you’ll have to wait over an hour & a half to be picked up as the driver is ‘eating tacos’, even when you give the 30mins notice as asked, unbelievable.
Contacted the managers & the office number, wrote an email to raise a complaint but nothing so have no choice to but to write this review.

Very bad service phoned on way to airport to be redirected to somewhere else in Luton to park
Waited 20 mins for shuttle bus so late to airport in 30 degree heat
Then received £95 parking fine from luton airport
Will never use them again

Saad was extremely helpful and understanding. He drove me to the airport carpark and waited on the phone 10 mins until I got to the destination where I was supposed to dropp of the car. If it wasn't for him I'd have lost my flight! He is a star!

I had a great experience with these guys and when l arrived at their parking yard a guy received me calmly and l gave him my keys and he guided me to the bus and l was in the airport in less than 40 minutes and even when l came back they gave my car back in a 20 minutes because they said to call them when l land and that may have gave them some time deliver my car to me quickly, l am very satisfied with the service with friendly staff and great customer service

1 star is too generous for this company, first the arrival instructions take you to the midstay carpark, which costs £15 to get out of. Then we went to the meet and greet area when the phone was eventually answered to be met with a surly unhappy looking man who gave no other information. We then handed over the keys with no vehicle checks only to return a week later to no car and expected to get a bus to a car park in the town. The misery did not end there as 4 days later we received a fine for non payment in leaving the meet and greet area despite it saying they handle everything on their site. Charlatans, dont use.

Very good experience

If I could give zero stars I would! On arriving to park our car the staff told us we would have to drive our own car to the airport then someone will drive it back because the shuttle driver was on a 45 minute break. This company is absolute disgrace DO NOT use this company. They operate under several different names. Communication doesn’t exist. We waiting for over an hour for our transfer after our flight landed back. They didn’t answer and calls or text message. We waited with several other travellers and couples who had all had a terrible experience. When we finally got picked up the shuttle driver blamed the staff and when we finally returned to the parking area where our vehicle was none of the staff were present a man we had never seen before returned us our keys. Someone had been in the boot and opened all the side compartments for whatever reason. Nothing was missing. Never again will I be using this company for parking! We booked with them under the name A1parking there were 2 other couples who had booked with the same company under 2 different names.

The main dusty long bumpy lane was really bad going towards the actual parking place.

Return the driver was late and told us he woke up late!!

Won't be using this company again.

I booked and cancelled same day due to airport locations changing and yet 34 days later still no refund!!!

I have contacted online support several times, called and every time I am told the refund is being processed but yet nothing.

The service is horrendous!
