DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. It is a complete scam, running out of an apartment block in China. The XL men's shirt I ordered was not big enough to fit a small child and was of extremely poor quality, and three weeks after initiating a returns process they told me I would have to pay for the return. They know no-one is going to do this as the return cost is more than the fractional refund they offer as an alternative.

An absolute joke of a company claiming to be a key player in British fashion.
Be warned, their shirts are of dubiously poor quality bearing no resemblance whatsoever to the items on their website. They are shipped from China so expect a three week wait for delivery.
If you try to return an item they will offer you a partial refund to keep the garment which will only materialise if you threaten to raise a dispute with PayPal.
If you do decide to return it, it is to an address in China at your own expense.
Definitely need a visit from Trading Standards.

I ordered a pair of medium size shorts on 25th July and they were delivered today. The quality of the material is very poor but, worse than that, they are far too large. I can't tell what size they are, because the label on the waistband has been cut off and most of the label on the packaging has been removed. I have asked for a refund, with no response so far. Most other Trustpilot reviews report a similar experience to mine. Don't deal with these people!

Further to the above - I've had a wholly unsatisfactory exchange of emails with them, in the latest of which they suggest that if I return the incorrectly supplied goods to China at my own expense (yes, really!) they will give me 10% off an alternative purchase. I will be reporting them to Trading Standatds and asking my card provider to initiate a charge back. This is a scam website: do not deal with them in any circumstances.

This is a scam. They sent me a rag disguised as a shirt, and then suggested I take a 10% refund instead of returning to China at my expense.
Thankfully my online bank was able to do a chargeback, and I got my refund that way.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. They advertise quality clothes, but send cheap rags - and then try to avoid refunds.

SCAM - this company is in CHINA!!
Three weeks delivery then straight in the bin. Horrible colours, cheap nylon fabric, don’t know what the sizes were like as didn’t unpack from nasty plastic bag.

My shirts ordered finally arrived after 3 weeks. I’d ordered two large size. They were the oddest garments. Cheap synthetic fabric
Arms far too short
Although having an L in the label they wouldn’t go over my shoulders, wouldn’t stretch far enough at the front to fasten
Just complete rubbish
They charge you to return items as they go to their “distribution centre” which is in China.

I can only reiterate the comments made.
A complete scan - sent the wrong sized clothing ( of poor quality ) and then asked me to pay in part for the exchange. Returning item means sending it at your expense to a bizarre address in China - didn't bother as became apparent this was a scam.
Avoid.

Doesn’t even deserve one star. Stripey shirt arrived which was a complete joke. Sleeves so short ridiculous and badly stitched nylon!!! NOTHING LIKE THEIR PICTURE and from China.

I ordered two shirts in good faith from this outfit. A couple of weeks later a tiny package arrived containing two shirts tightly wrapped in clear plastic. I have yet to open them, I can see the quality is so bad! I would not clean my shoes with them!
They are NOT a British Company! I have asked for a refund, in order for that to happen they have asked me to send it back recorded delivery to an address in China.
This outfit are SCAMMERS, they are not nice people, be warned..

Like a previous reviewer, i would award a zero star if it were possible. Annoyed with myself by being suckered in by Face Book advert - and then by the website which proudly explains that the company was "founded in 2019" .... along with a load of other misleading words about high quality clothing.
If I'd know the shirt was coming from China I would not have proceeded due to the time it took to fulfill - two weeks.
I ordered a cotton/linen blend shirt in size 2XL. What i got was a cotton (65%)/polyester (35%) mixed garment, way smaller than the size ordered and with cuffs that would not look out of place on a blouse. The garment information tag on the one hand advised a 30 degree wash but also recommended dry cleaning.
I've attempted to engage with the company about a refund but am getting nowhere - the offer of a discount against a subsequent order is, quite frankly, an insult.
Put simply, the shirt is not as advertised and is not fit for purpose.
I will be reporting my experience to my debit card provider and also refer the company to Trading Standards.
Is there anything else I should be doing apart from warning, on FB, that users should not trade with Oliver James Tailors.
It goes without saying that i should have checked with Trust Pilot before placing my order.

A complete scam, appalling quality products, sent from China and then you can't get a refund unless you send them back to China at your expense. Avoid at all costs. An unbelievable company who think they can continue to scam people despite the awful reviews.

Sent clothes not fit for purpose. Asked for LARGE, got 31" waist.
You have to send clothes back to China YOURSELF !!
Offered a 10% refund if I keep the clothes , that's the clothes that are not fit for purpose.
Should have checked Trust pilot first.

Terrible quality material and awful tailoring : nothing like the photos on the website. Delivered by Royal Mail from within U.K. but return address for refund in China. Deceptive company making low quality items and misrepresenting themselves. Beware!!

Absolute scam and just shows how easy it is to rip people off with false advertising and fake information.
Don’t fall for this from any platform.

Unfortunately cannot give zero stars. I can’t believe that I fell for this con, please don’t be suckered like me and many others you can read about here. This is NOT a UK company, it is a Chinese firm producing shoddy third rate goods. Cheap nylon, NOT cotton/linen, poor quality stitching, sized for small people. Forget trying to get a refund - my emails have elicited offers of 15%, then 30% and finally 10% off a future order if I keep the goods!
No way will I be keeping this! I have initiated chargeback through my credit card and will be sending this back to the UK sender:

Awful company. Ordered 3 items, received despatch notification within 24 hours. 2 weeks later I received an email stating one of the items was out of stock. Tried to exchange for a similar priced item but was told I could only replace with the same item in a different colour.
The first shirt then arrived. It was poor quality and not of the material advertised. However, it did fit so I decided to keep it.
The second shirt arrived 2 weeks later and, again, was poor quality and not of the advertised material. It was also tiny, despite supposedly being the same size as the previous shirt. I notified customer service and was told I could have a replacement for an additional 30% of the original cost. It is not worth the additional cost but to return and gain a refund I would need to send the item back to China at my expense.
The third item has still not arrived and I suspect will be of similar poor quality, if it even fits.
The company purports to be UK based but is actually registered in the Netherlands and all the items are shipped individually from China.
I have raised a dispute via PayPal. But to be honest I have written off the money, I just want to prevent other buyers making the same mistake.

Thought I was ordering from a genuine UK company. Can't believe I got taken in by them. Really bad quality item, wrong size and came from China. Avoid at all costs!

Complete scam ordered a linen shirt xl got some piece of nylon crap, despite being delivered by royal mail return address is sn elevator in china. Thankfully Amex did a charge back against them
