We were really excited with purchasing through Ponsfords and found a sofa we really loved. After purchasing in August 2025, we were told in December 2025 that the company we purchased from had gone into liquidation. The supplier had gone into liquidation in September 2025, and it took several months for something to be communicated to us. After speaking with the team, we were assured that we could still get the sofa, but would need to wait another 24 weeks.

We kept the deposit live and went to Ponsfords to see if there was something else we might like. After not finding anything, we called to request our refund. We were then told that our sofa was actually on the next boat over from the manufacturers, and we would receive it in the next month or 2. We were very happy about this and in spite of waiting nearly 8 months were looking forward to our new sofa. Shortly after we were contacted again to tell us that our sofa was NOT on the boat, and as such we would need to wait even longer.

At this point, we got our refund.

We will never attempt to use Ponsfords again. Their products are good, but their customer service and communications this time around was truly awful. We appreciate that suppliers fail and that is not Ponsfords fault, however we would expect to have some communication and service to keep us in the loop.

We are still without a sofa, and very upset.

Went to view again mattress for electric beds. Andrew was the person who went through the procedure of which would be suitable for my husband who suffers with a back problem. He was very knowledgeable and he decided to, at least, stay a good half hour or more to lay on the bed, bearing in mind this was our second viewing. In the end decided to purchase the item and like to express our thanks to Andrew for his patience, top man.

We had a great experience in the showroom thanks to two gentlemen(Bilal & Jonathan) who assisted us while choosing our new sofa. They were friendly, patient, and genuinely knowledgeable, giving us helpful advice without ever being pushy. They took the time to understand what we wanted and made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. Excellent customer service — we left confident we’d made the right choice. Highly recommended!

Stuart, Will and Graeme did an excellent job fitting our hall, landing and stair carpets. The arrived punctually and after swiftly assessing what needed to be done set to immediately removing all the old carpets, underlay and grippers. They then expertly fitted the new carpet to a better standard than previously. They cleaned everything up well. The team were friendly and courteous and we can highly recommend them.

Can’t recommend the carpet department and the fitting Staff enough, absolute professionals and excellent service, I’m incredibly impressed and pleased with our carpets they are fitted to perfection, such a professional job

Ponsford were our first choice when buying new carpet for three rooms. From the initial contact with Karl and his detailed measurement and fitting plan to minimise waste and give us good value, through to the fitting by Paul, Stuart and Will, a professional friendly team who have done such an excellent job.

Excellent service from start to finish! From Karl's wise assistance with carpet selection and trim, to Graeme, Stuart and Will's careful installation - we were taken care of like VIP clients! Very happy with the outcome and appreciate the care that went into the whole process. Would highly recommend!

Really excellent service. We were looking to purchase a range of furniture to refurbish our home and all the staff at Ponsfords were unfailingly helpful and patient as over several weeks we decided exactly what furniture we wanted. Special mention to Stephen Coldwell who helped greatly and pursued several queries with manufacturers and to Carl for his font of knowledge on carpets.

Can't fault Ponsfords - brilliant service, polite knowledgable sales staff and the delivery team of Steve and Marino were second to none. Thank you - great to see old fashioned customer service still exists!

Our initial in store visit and planning/measuring consultation by Karl was excellent he was so knowledgeable and honest about the type of carpet we should choose. Then today's fitting team of Stuart, Paul and Will were an absolute pleasure they explained every step of the fit in detail and their quality and skills of carpet fitting were the best we have every experienced. We will be using Ponsfords for any future carpets without a doubt. Thank you all we are delighted!

We fell in love with a table and chairs as we walked through the door but we toured the showrooms and seriously looked at other options. Bilal was great at giving us all the details of the alternative option.

Ponsford has a large and very well-appointed showroom over 3 floors. There are staff around but there is no pressure to buy, just a polite greeting and offer of help if needed.
I had visited 3 days ago to enquire about sofas suitable for smaller people with short legs and Sarah was extremely helpful. She took me up to the top floor where there were examples of suitable sofas and I sat on a few. Sarah spent time giving me information explaining about fabric options. I left with a brochure and returned with my husband today.
The showroom is very pleasant away from the Christmas crowds, there is a cafe and there are staff available to answer any queries. Andrew was contacted to come and help us and we had a very satisfactory experience, He was friendly, knowledgeable and had plenty of time to show us the options and talk us through the costs, treatment of fabrics, delivery etc. We decided to buy one sofa and order another then Andrew took us to the accounts section to pay a deposit.
We would thoroughly recommend visiting Ponsfords for a pleasant and rewarding experience.

Always have extensive range of quality furniture.
The staff always display an extensive knowledge of their products and Hakima did not disappoint. She was extremely patient and helpful as she gently nudged us towards a decision.

Graeme was prompt, efficient and very hard working. He set about his task in a very workman like fashion, did a brilliant job and left the rooms he had recarpeted (stairs, landing and hall) very clean after finishing the carpet fitting. Highly recommended

The whole Ponsford team were superb. Firstly with the expert advice and recommendations from Karl, and then the care and attention to detail from Graeme, Stuart and Will. They went above and beyond and even trimmed an adjacent stair carpet that they noticed wasn’t correct. Super tidy and polite. Couldn’t recommend them more. Well done.
