Amazon.ca and Dragonfly courier or carrier
I have been trying to return shoe glue to Amazon.ca s
which I don’t think I can use since August 11st. I have scheduled return pick up several times with Dragonfly carrier which does pickup for Amazon.ca. It was previously called Intelcom. I had to print pickup labels three times and reschedule pickup many times. No driver has come so far to pick up the item from me. Or they say they could not get access to my building. I am a disabled senior. All the other deliveries are working fine. Grocery and prescription delivery people buzz my number and I hear the ring very loud and other carriers like FedEx and UPS also have no problems. Uniuni carrier drivers never ring and leave parcels in the lobby. So there are few carriers drivers who do not follow rules or instructions. Since the Dragonfly carrier drivers and the warehouse are giving me so much trouble I am trying to get refund from Amazon.ca agents. They are refusing to issue me the refund and want to create new return labels every time. A few years ago they were not like that. The agents talk very fast. Sound is not clear. Last time I called the agent hung up on me because I asked him to talk slowly and clearly. In last 3-4 years I have been having bad experience with Amazon.ca agents. Dragonfly warehouse also very often do not send any emails confirming that a driver is coming to deliver or pickup a package or parcel. They are not taking any action against drivers who do not follow rules or instructions. There something very wrong with both these companies. Finally I had to use another carrier Purolator to return this item.
Blocked Amazon account has been removing money for months
Subject: Urgent Complaint – Fraudulent Charges, Delivery Negligence, and Financial Harm
Dear Amazon Customer Relations,
I am writing in desperation after more than a year of unresolved issues stemming from a hacked account. Despite assurances that the account was closed, unauthorized charges have continued—most recently $11.01—causing me to miss a bankruptcy payment and incur $74 in NSF fees. I live with disabilities, including agoraphobia, and survive on less than $1,600/month. These withdrawals are not inconvenient—they are devastating.
Your agents claim it was my responsibility to close the account, even though it was blocked due to fraud and I was locked out. If I cannot access the account, I cannot delete it. Amazon had control and visibility over the compromised account and its ongoing activity. Therefore, you had both the legal and ethical obligation to close it on my behalf. Continuing to charge me while denying access is not just negligent—it may violate Canadian law.
After months of being locked out and repeatedly denied access, I was suddenly able to log in using the exact same password—immediately after speaking with one of your supervisors. This raises serious concerns about the integrity of your account security protocols and the accuracy of the information I was given throughout this ordeal.
⚖️ Legal Concerns
PIPEDA: Failure to secure and act on compromised personal data may constitute negligence.
Consumer Protection Act (CPA): Charging for services on a blocked, hacked account may be considered an unfair practice.
Competition Act: Assuring me the account was closed while continuing charges may be a misleading representation.
Canada Labour Code: Delivery drivers using children to assist with heavy packages may constitute child labor, with serious legal implications.
📦 Delivery Failures
A driver refused to deliver life-saving medication to a wheelchair-bound person, opting to leave a sticker instead.
I was handed someone else’s package, which was photographed as “delivered.”
Children as young as five have been seen helping drivers with heavy parcels.
📊 Supporting Statistics
Over 1.7 million Amazon packages are lost or stolen daily in the U.S.
Amazon accounts for 52% of all stolen packages nationwide.
Customer satisfaction has dropped from 88% to 79% over the past decade.
📝 My Requests
Full refund of all unauthorized charges over the past year
Reimbursement of the $74 NSF fee
Formal apology acknowledging the severity of this situation
Confirmation that the account is permanently closed
Investigation into delivery practices and fraud response protocols
I am exhausted, terrified, and heartbroken. I trusted Amazon. That trust has been shattered. Please do not respond with another generic apology. I need action. I need compassion. I need help.
To Amazon executives and managers: when you're sleeping in your cozy beds, eating warm, healthy meals, I hope you think of people like me—suffering from your AI algorithms and your lackluster support workers. I'm glad my distress helps make your life better. Even when it's little tiny illegal practices, remember that's also helping feed you and your families.
Sincerely, Cindy Gimnes
They take money but cancel order and hold money saying they cant prove its me
They flagged my order because i haven't ordered but I had an order go through yesterday. Now they are holding over 500$ pending a review..Will not send money back.
I am so disappointed with customer…
I am so disappointed with customer service. This has truly frustrated me. I am being charged for Amazon channels that I did not order. It happened once before and I had no problem getting a refund.
Worst customer service
Worst customer service. Used to be good but now they can't be organized for the life of them. Had to call them 5 times over 1 order and they couldn't get it right all 5 times, but miraculously messed it up 5 different ways, including double charging me. I've been on Amazon for years but now I am no longer ordering through them anymore and canceling my prime.
Amazon is perfect for me always
I have had nothing but excellent service from customer service from sellers. Everything on their product wise. I have only had a couple of items out of umpteen hundreds that I have bought that didn't meet my expectation.
I've had a couple that were damaged when they got here and Amazon did a refund for me. Of course you're always going to get sellers that are not the greatest to deal with, but Amazon has always covered me. I appreciate your customer service and the items that you are selling. Thank you. I will continue to deal with you online as much as I can.
Take care. Okay thanks again
Useless customer service
Useless customer service very clearly out sourcing to India for cheap labour (literally ALL Indian accents who answer) couldn’t tell me when my product will be delivered yet has been stuck in Alberta Canada since a day and a half ago and refused to transfer to Logistics. Absolute GARBAGE customer service. I was charged for this order over five days ago and yet pay prime service for crap customer service.

I ordered paramount by mistake on prime and find it extremely frustrating trying to cancel. When I try to get help it does not transition to the help page. I intend to cancel both prime and paramount because of my negative experience

Scam with a Macbook
I bought a MacBook Air through Amazon (order 01-7731254-9137860), but when the package arrived, there was only a cheap toy inside the box. I made a claim immediately, sending the evidence they asked for so I can get a refund. 3 days later I called to know how my case is doing, and they told me since the device has already been activated, they cannot refund my money ($2,413.95). Obviously someone else is using the device now.
It's completely unacceptable that a company like Amazon fails to protect its customers from such blatant fraud. This isn't just a simple mix-up: someone clearly manipulated the shipment to make it appear the product was delivered, when in fact I received a completely different item.
I'm extremely disappointed by the lack of accountability. I'm now forced to turn to my bank, consumer protection, and other means to recover my money.
I don't recommend buying expensive products through Amazon if they don't guarantee protection against this type of scam.
Scammers!!!
Amazon used to be great but now it’s getting worse day by day! I have been ordering on Amazon for 4 years now. I recently ordered something that never arrived. I contacted Amazon customer service twice about not receiving my package and they told me to wait another day because the order might be late. I waited another day still didn’t receive my package and contacted customer service again. The customer service then asked me to do a police report/ investigation so I can get my refund. I told them that doing a police report would be a lengthy process and a stupid thing to do because how is it my fault that I paid for something that I didn’t receive. The customer service then told me to send in my health card or my drivers license with my information which was extremely weird. I sent it to them later on through email and got a response after 2 days that I can now contact customer support and get my refund, so I went ahead contacted customer service for the 5th time and the customer service guy told me that he has processed the refund back to my bank account and it will take 5-10 business days to receive it. I then waited for a few days and all of a sudden I got an email from Amazon that my account has been banned because I was asking $98 refund for my order that I didn’t receive. I was extremely confused and frustrated. I tried logging back into my account but I didn’t let me. So I called Amazon and they told me they can’t do nothing. I then went back and emailed them again and they replied back that not only will they not restore my account but they will also not refund me anymore. After days of waiting and wasting my time and energy on customer service, emails and calls I didn’t get a refund for something that I never received. Luckily I contacted my bank and they did an investigation for 2 days and gave me my refund. I will never shop from Amazon again. The app has gotten trash and they are extremely stingy and a bunch of scammers. I had to warn both of my friends and family.
Avoid!!! No respect for canadian
I was a good amazon customer but starting from today I’m cancelling my account and all the canadian should do the same until this company starts respecting canadian people
I will buy from others even if the price is higher but never again from amazon
I bought a Samsung Fold 7 on a…
I bought a Samsung Fold 7 on a promotion for a free double storage upgrade + $200 credit from Amazon 2 days before the expiration date. They cancelled my order with a suspicious transaction reason and blocked my account. On the last day of the promotion date, they released my account. I still saw that promotion and called in to confirm the promotion and was told yes, and an agent said that he also put a note on my account about that promotion. I re-ordered it. I received a 256 GB instead of 512 GB as listed within a day, and no more $200 credit. They deleted 2 promotions after I ordered. I called in, and another agent said there is no note on my account. I trusted them completely, that's why I didn't take a screenshot of the promotions. I am a long-time customer and have ordered a lot of items; now I am mad, disappointed, and dissatisfied with them. They used to be very good at customer service and after-sales.. I will return it and have already bought a different one from eBay at a price is only $2100, new and sealed.
Worst experience ever- missing items
Worst experience ever. I was at home when they delivered the package and I was supposed to receive 8 items including big cold pressed juice and keyboard. I took the box in a minute when it was delivered. It was a small box and when opened, 3 high value items were missing.
Called customer service and they were of no help. They ask me to file a police complaint and told me somebody took it. I was at home and received the delivery. Also, they can see clearly and 8 items can’t fit in this small box.
Never buying from Amazon and cancelling my membership 👎🏻
Amazon.ca quality of service getting worse and worse!
See the end of this review for the easiest way to actually contact a human @ Amazon.ca.
Amazon has really gone down hill in the past couple of years. I remember when they first got their own courier system in place and how much better it was than UPS, Fedex, Canada Post etc... Unfortunately that no longer seems to be the case. I have had orders that were "Out for delivery" with their cool new map system showing it to be 5 or even 3 stops away only to be in the end not delivered that day. I even had one order recently that did this to me 3 days in a row till I got in contact with Amazon on both the 2nd and 3rd days and then it finally got delivered! How is a package 3 blocks away (According to Amazon's tracking map!), and then still can't get delivered for 3 successive days!
Now about trying to get in touch with an actual human @ Amazon.ca Have you noticed there is no longer an option to get into a chat or a phone call when you are contacting Amazon for an issue? You just go round and round with no one to discuss the issue with other than their stupid LOIB (Lack Of Intelligence BOT!). Well I mentioned this to an associate that I had to phone after looking up the Amazon support number on Google (Which is incredibly dangerous in this day and age but their support number is nowhere to be found on their website!). Once I verified it was actually Amazon I was speaker with, She spent 15 minutes trying to find a way on their website to contact a human and almost gave up before she finally found a way. Here is it. Start your contact process as you normally would. Then keep clicking on the "Something else" option (There will be several pages of this!). Keep doing that till you get to the list with the "Registry Discounts and Welcome Box". Click on that. Then under the "Wedding And Baby Registry" option click on the "I Need More Help" option. Finally you will be presented with the option to start a chat or phone call. Talk about having to jump through hoops to get some service!
Poor management
Ordering from this place used to be good. Lately I'm finding that my account was hacked, money was taken, and the accounting and management of orders is incorrect. There is false advertising as far as the cost if shipping without membership. They are failing to list the shipping price separately from the cost of the product and initial total bill. They used to ship all the items ordered in one order together by the next day, now they are trying to send something that says next day from out of country after you make purchase. All in all they are a frustrating scam that is there to give you comfort but actually really just mismanages their business and try to scam as much as they can out of you.
Surprised that people aren't more positive about Amazon in Canada
I have only had positive experiences buying things on Amazon.ca. They deliver quickly and follow delivery instructions. I live in an apartment and I hate it when I get a card instead of them leaving a package at my door. Their prices are pretty good. I bought an eBike from them and was very pleased with it. I also like how you can pay in installments for some products but only if it's a certain price point. You can't bundle and pay in installments. I used to love their customer service but now it's become a maze when I have to use it. I do eventually get things resolved. I rather not "feed the Bezos Beast" if I didn't have to but I do. I did have an issue cancelling my order because of the quick shipping. Two hours after purchase was too late and it wasn't worth the hassle of returning it. I haven't had to return anything to Amazon so I don't know what that is like. You can't refuse delivery because they just leave it at your door without knocking. They do deliver on time and have a decent tracking system. That's why I am giving them 4 Stars. Room for improvement but overall pretty happy with their many products & services.
I've had incidents of improper and open…
I've had incidents of improper and open products sent , have noticed encroaching drops in product quality, variety, and increased pricing. Sub-contracted delivery constantly shows no delivery scheduling data regardless of Prime membership. TLDR: Worse service, higher prices. Amazon does not properly service Canadians.
They don’t even match their own prices…
They don’t even match their own prices even if it’s not delivered. Service representative not helping, supervisor says they should match the prices up. Ignoring all local legislation regarding post purchase discounts law: see opc gouv qc ca discount/promotion/post-purchase-discounts/
