I would give no stars if I could

I would give no stars if I could. Why, oh why, did WW get rid of their desktop version? It used to be brilliant, and I would use it in conjunction with the app. Now we’re forced to use only the app.

I messaged a coach from WW to say that I’m currently on dialysis and asked if they had any advice for me. Nothing. Yes — they said nothing and didn’t know what I was talking about. So I cancelled my account and the app and vowed never to use them again.

I also find the new points system confusing and misleading. For example, something that was previously 0 points is now 5 points, so that doesn’t work. It doesn’t recognise some egg and fish meals either.

Honestly, I find using ChatGPT better for weight loss than this.

They've gone downhill with terrible customer service

I have been a member on and off for years and their plan works. I joined again last year as a core member, this is where you do it on your own, no classes but you get the app and a online forum to discuss issues with other members and support. All was working brilliantly, zero issues. They've now since changed the app, and it is now unusable. They fix one issue and another comes along. At the moment I am unable to accurately track my points due to some technical issue. I wasn't able to get any support from the 24/7 chat, that's a joke as it is AI then states that no-one is available. They no longer have an email and their telephone lines place you in a queue and you're faced with AI again, then when you eventually get transferred to a person no-one answers. Finally got through to someone and they had difficulty connecting as they had bad WiFi. I couldn't hear what they were saying. What is going on at WW? The customer service is absolutely shocking. They're very selective who they help in the connect system if you tag them, cherry picking simpler issues and offer no help with the app. I have repeatedly been ignored. Getting fed up.

Why fix it if it wasn’t broke

I’ve been a member of Weight Watchers for many many years. This new app that they implemented doesn’t work properly. It miscalculates and adds more food items than I put. Therefore leading me to believe that I’m eating more of my points throughout the day. I have to go back at the end of the day and re-review all my inputs of tracking. I don’t care for it. I don’t know why they didn’t leave things alone if it wasn’t broken why fix it not a happy camper.

App used to be great

App used to be great. Easy to use and log meals, exercise etc. now takes so long. Can’t always go back on pages, and have to keep moving to other pages, just to get back to the front screen. Points and macros don’t marry up, which is very confusing. As can use 35 points. Yet under on all macros. I’m on 23 points daily. Sleep doesnt log anymore, nor does all my exercise even though I click to add from my Apple Watch. Used to do. Automatically. What used to be a quick and easy app to use is now terrible. After 5 years of using the app. Am actually considering trying SW to see if that’s any better.

The new app is terrible

The new app is terrible. So many of the previous function are either missing or just dont work properly. If they don't sort it soon they will lose a lot of support. Just awful.

Hate the new app

Hate the new app, the weight tracker no longer has lbs so very difficult to track weight correctly. Doesn't track the minutes correctly of excersise. In fact the only good thing is the macros. Has become a complete waste of money.

This new app is awful

This new app is awful. I have been a ww member for about 6 years and really don’t understand why I can’t track, remove or update food items. Such a shame, you’ve ruined it.

Really loved the old app it was easy to…

Really loved the old app it was easy to use now you have "upgraded".. its awful can't find anything on there constantly putting in passwords to access things its so bright and in your face. What a shame 😔

What a joke

What a joke. I Started over 100 days ago. Then app lost all my tracking information and won't let me input anything. FOOD WEIGHT OR ACTIVITIES. I didn't receive any notifications regarding this so called "update" I called and the lady tells me that there were updating monday. Then says over the last week. I canceled my membership but am now going to have pay for another 9 month. I want to stop the payment. Due to loss of all the history in the app. This is not my fault I am extremely upset by this and they wont do anything. Ps just starve your self instead because it the same thing.

They continue to collect money after membership expires

Signed up for a 12 month membership at £8.05 pm. When the 12 months finished, the started collecting £26.95. That started in October this year, I emailed them asking to cancel the collections but zero response - and they have continued to collect the same £26,95 in November and December. Although I can see the money going out of my bank account, it isn't listed under my current Standing Orders or Direct Debits, so I cannot cancel the payments at my end.

Rude and unhelpful.

The app is easy to use. I followed the guidelines but never saw any improvement until I started only using 10-15 of my 21 pts.

Do not try cancel online! I cancelled online 3 months ago, couldn't access my account but was still charged until I was able to call them (I work through the day). I did not receive my money back the woman was rude and unhelpful I would never recommend weight watchers.

Terrible Customer Service

I thought this account had been cancelled for months and it suddenly started charging me £18.95 - as soon as the money came out I cancelled the account and tried to get a refund but they point-blank refused. I'm having to get it refunded through my bank. Also, the customer service experience was dreadful. Mostly AI and when I finally got to speak to a real person, she was completely unwilling to help.

Erroneous billing after cancelled contract

Similar experience to another reviewer -after cancelling the subscription online and deleting app, WW continued to take monthly payments after minimum period. Unfortunately I didn’t notice initially as cancelled six months before the end of the minimum period so was expecting DDs to continue. Called to request a refund and they have no record of termination and refused to refund erroneous charges despite evidence of long term inactivity. Unable to prove cancellation via an email, so they said best they could do was cancel as of today… and another £18.95 charge as it’s a month’s notice. Unethical practices and poor customer service. Would not recommend anyone to get tied into a contract with them. Cost me nearly £100 more than expected.

So I joined WW for the in person…

So I joined WW for the in person sessions . I was so shocked at what WW has done to these . Completely stripped back dull and grim space with no insentive for the leaders . I am almost certain that they are looking to get rid of the face to face element completely which is really sad . They just want us stuck on our phones forgetting about the payment and keeping on paying them .

The app is unreliable and not as useful or as easy to use as “my fitness pal app” and doesn’t really offer anything different or better . My Fitness pal is less than £40 a year and WW is almost that a month . Without the face to face I don’t see where WW market is.

Ps our leader is lovely and I am not sure how she will keep going with the way things are . 😐

Unethical Billing Practices and Zero Accountability

I am extremely disappointed with Weight Watchers. After ending my subscription, I discovered they continued to withdraw money from my bank account without authorization. When I contacted customer service, I was told there was nothing they could do and that I would not be issued a refund — even though the charges occurred after my subscription had ended.

This is completely unacceptable. A reputable company should take responsibility for billing errors and correct them immediately, not dismiss paying customers with canned responses. Continuing to charge someone after cancellation is not only unethical, it borders on fraudulent behavior.

I strongly urge anyone considering Weight Watchers to think twice before providing your payment information. Their lack of accountability and refusal to refund unauthorized charges shows a serious disregard for customer trust.

They are conning people

They are conning people. They trap you in a plan. Care team keeps prolonging your care. When you go to cancel your membership, because no service was provided ,They slap you with contract terms.
No customer service, no care. No service from care team but pay membership cost every month.
