Canada Life Administrative Convenience
Had five policies crystallized from a Phoenix Life pension plan and turned into an annuity by Canada Life. Rather than receiving the one total amount per month I was expecting, Canada Life tell me it will have to be five separate amounts, causing me financial inconvenience. Poor customer service in my opinion to meet their own administrative convenience.

Very smooth and straightforward transfer of pension pots into one new plan
Very smooth and straightforward transfer of my various pension pots into one pot with Canada Life ahead of schedule, with no hitches. Also, my 25% tax free lump sum and first annuity payment are already in my bank account, just a few weeks after giving the go-ahead for the plan. Excellent service overall.

Canada Life was recommended to me
Canada Life was recommended to me, for annuity purposes, as my pension pot was very small.
I chose to purchase on a fixed sum, rate as I felt that it was better for me.
I can budget effectively. Canada Life's representative explained clearly some of the negatives I could encounter with the fixed sum.

Annual pension’s statement
I like the fact that my pension is paid promptly.
I dislike the fact that as an international customer it is very hard to get hold of you in writing and over the phone when I request annual statement for tax purposes in my country.
In the past, this service worked perfectly but lately there it deteriorated.

As a Mortgage Adviser it can be difficult navigating lender criteria, I had a case with tricky area for the property. I want to thank Trevor Hanson for helping to speak to underwriting and for all his guidance. I have one very happy client as we now have an offer on the property. It is great that each case is treated individually. Having a highly knowledgeable BDM who responds quickly is incredibly valuable. Also we were able to keep a rate from previous case, highly recommend Canada Life
