It was easy to request the certificate
It was easy to request the certificate, although it did take a couple of weeks to be emailed through to me. The process of ordering the bike and picking up was quick and easy, I used the Specialized Concept store in Chester and they were very helpful and knowledgeable.

I applied for my cyclescheme voucher…
I applied for my cyclescheme voucher and it was approved the same day by work and received the voucher the following day, so much quicker than I expected. I was then able to order my bike and pick it up that weekend so the whole process from choosing my bike to cycling away from the bike shop took less than a week!

I used Cyclesheme last month to get my first Electric Mountain Bike
I used Cyclesheme last month to get another bike, I also used them several years ago. Again they were exceptional, and the advice was great, and the system was clear and smooth. The chart timeline bar showing how my application and progress was, to the stress out of the process. Also the shops are set up so well to deal with Cyclesheme, it was very smooth, and a very happy rider.

Excellent choice of retailers. Whole process took around 2 weeks from application to bike delivery. I used Tredz online shop and couldn't fault them.

Overall a great scheme to save money
Overall a great scheme to save money, cycle to work, be healthier, etc.
However the back and forth between each stage makes it quite difficult to know exactly what you can or cannot get. For instance, I checked the price of all my items but as did not put the order through, missed the cost of delivery.. This meant that I had to find alternatives or would have had to start from scratch again... The bike I wanted was on sale and there was less than 5 left in stock so I didn't want to miss out and ended with no helmet. I wonder if there was a way to be more flexible, for instance for the employer to agree on a price range?

My company tried to register onto…
My company tried to register onto cyclescheme for months now. We have filled out the online questionnaire and sent all the required information but Cyclescheme did not activate our account. When we call they say to send a mail but when you send a mail nobody replies.
A real waste of time, ressources and energy.

Amazing experience with Cyclescheme
Amazing experience with Cyclescheme. I applied on my work intranet site on a Sunday afternoon. By 9am Monday I had a confirmation that the request was going through, and by 9:30am I had my voucher to buy my e-bike! Incredible. I needed to change retailer when I found out the bike I wanted had gone out of stock, but with just one quick phone call to Cycscheme my voucher was reset and reissued. I've never come across a process as fast and efficient as this. Wish I could score them more than 5 stars!

It was simple and straight forward
It was simple and straight forward. The voucher came through quickly. I could use the voucher at a bike shop I trust and regularly use. My only criticism is that the cycle to work scheme did not let the bike shop know that the voucher had been approved. I assumed that they would.

We do not specifically tell retailers that certificates have been approved, however they do have access to systems that allows them to see what status a certificate has got to. As we only give out the necessary codes to the user, the retailer wouldn't be able to move forward until they (the user) popped into the shop (or called) the retailer directly.
