Researching a direct replacement for my smoke alarms which I had discovered were 13 years old with a 10 year useful life span (where no electrician was required) led me directly to safelinks who claimed there product would not even require a new base to be fitted to the ceiling and that the electrical connection was the same. Fantastic i thought and ordered 2 to replace both my connected alarms. Ordering was simple. Delivery was quick. Installation exceeded my expectations by a country mile and literally took 2 minutes per alarm. The whole process was easy and quick. Thoroughly recommended

These guys sell detectors that can replace the original manufacturer ones and for me that was an absolute godsend. From an annoying chirp to a "whoa this thing says it's out of date" to "oh shit, they're not manufactured any more, I'm going to have to get a bloody electrician to rewire my house" and then to "oh, these guys make a drop in replacement. I'll order them then." Next (working) day delivery and 30 minutes of fiddling with batteries and a circuit breaker and all is well again. Easy to deal with, they tell you exactly what units are compatible and all you have to do is slot in the replacement. Can not complain at all. Would buy from again.

A great product which, once you get the hang of it, is easy to install. The website is easy to use, and the delivery is quick.

My hallway smoke detector had reached its expiry date but the manufacturer no longer made replacements. So I came to Safelincs and found that they make a 'plug and play' compatible alarm which meant I did not have to engage an electrician to instal a new alarm. Using the very clear instructions, I fitted the replacement in minutes.

I needed to replace three smoke alarms and one heat alarm that had been fitted around 12 years ago when I had my loft extension done. They were mains powered and interconnected, and the original models were the BRK 670MBX smoke alarms and BRK 680MBX heat alarm, which have now been discontinued.

Thankfully, Safelincs had suitable replacement models that fitted the existing base plates, meaning I didn't need to get an electrician out. It was simply a case of removing the old alarm, disconnecting the electricity clip and clicking the new alarm into place. Everything connected and worked as it should.

I was initially unsure about the replacement heat alarm because the Safelincs website listed it as compatible with the BRK 690MBX, but didn't specifically mention the 680MBX. However, I can confirm that it fitted the existing base plate and connected without any problems.

I also called Safelincs before ordering and was reassured that I could check whether the alarm fitted and return it for a refund if it wasn't compatible. That gave me confidence to go ahead.

Overall, I'm very happy with the products and the service. The pricing is good and they arrived promptly. It's great to be able to replace discontinued alarms without having to replace the wiring or get an electrician involved.

I'll definitely use Safelincs again when these need replacing in another 10 years!

I ordered 3 DETA 1111 compatible smoke alarm which the original is no longer made. The product fits the base plates and is totally compatible. I feel the product is an upgrade on the originals. Install is easy.

Always use Safelincs for my smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. The website is super easy to navigate. Delivery is prompt and well packaged. I personally like to get the “long life” built in 10 year battery type- to me it is worth the extra outlay for peace of mind.
And they send reminders to test the equipment.

Be careful about their delivery promises. We ordered some defib pads on a Friday and paid extra for next day delivery. They did not arrive until Tuesday evening.
They said that I should have read the small print.
If they could not do a next day delivery on Friday why did they ask me to pay for it anyway ? It would be useful if they said when delivery would happen.

Great product to seal gaps in sash windows, preventing wind from flying through. Easy to push into the gaps and cut.

Great service. I had a question about a heat alarm to replace an old BRK model I had, and they were super knowledgeable -- explained why my model number wasn't included in the list on their side, but that it should work to replace it (it did!). They also walked me through some troubleshooting post-install when I needed it.
