A logistical Nightmare: 9 Items, 7 Delivery Dates, Zero Convenience…

I had a disappointing overall experience with Walmart Canada, and I'm unlikely to order again. The website shopping process was tiresome, displaying too many unrelated and repetitive items despite using filters and best match options. The delivery process was significantly worse. A single order of nine items is scheduled across seven separate delivery dates between December 9th and December 26th. My request to consolidate these into a maximum of two deliveries was denied by customer service, who offered only impractical solutions, such as (refusing delivery or returning items to a post office). Furthermore, the delivery notifications are unreliable (e.g., an item arrived at 7:08 PM despite a 10:00 PM promise). Managing seven separate potential deliveries is a major inconvenience and logistical challenge, plus splitting small items (e.g., a screwdriver to be delivered one day, and a pair of slippers the next) is inefficient and contradictory to any stated goal for 'carbon neutral delivery'. In contrast, recent orders with competitors like Temu (15 items in 2 deliveries) and Giant Tiger (9 items in 1 delivery) and were superior in service and efficiency. Had I known about these highly fragmented logistics and the short 30-minute window to cancel, I would not have placed the order.

My major complaint photo lab centre never open in Fort Frances and I’m not alone…

My major complaint and I’m not alone here many other residents in Fort Frances Ontario have gone to the photo lab centre there and it’s never open! It’s absolutely Ludacris. They have one staff working in there with all the staff in that store and that photo lab that’s the only option in town we have and it’s such an inconvenience like I can see it being closed Saturday and Sunday, but I went there Monday and it was closed and I went to customer service and talked to somebody and she just stood there so silly looking never said a word Like why isn’t it open? We need another photo centre in this town. Walmart is getting. I’m just sick of Walmart and it’s very frustrating when you’re trying to accomplish something and you cannot so yes I am putting it out there all over social media terrible service. There’s no reason why it shouldn’t be open. Walmart. Canada is a huge company they make a ton of money and they should have more staff than one person and then shutting it down.

Haven't improved in over a decade

A decade ago I ordered a ping pong table for my son at the end of Sept for Christmas - it showed up the end of Jan. Had to put a picture under the tree for him. It took so many phone calls to even get it sorted out. After a decade thought I would try them again. Thinking their online is better now? Ordered a Christmas tree. Said delivery in 2 days. lol Shows the label was printed but still hasn't shipped. Ordered it in Nov. Every time you call in they say "we will look into this but it will take a couple days" Then I get an email saying "it's resolved and I can not reopen this for 8 days" I know I am not getting the tree for Christmas. But I sure would like my money back. Won't be ordering from them again. If they can't improve in a decade? I use multiple sites for on line shopping Amazon, Home Depot, Home Hardware and many clothing sites. Anytime there is an issue with an order it is resolved quickly. With Walmart you have to put in a lot of work to get help or a refund. They make it hard. Corporate is not doing changes to improve if it is the same after a decade.

Scam

Be very careful as I bought two items but was charged for an extra item. When I called, they said they just put through $59.62 to check and see if they could put money on my Visa. I’ve never heard of anything so ridiculous. I told them they better hurry up and refund my money how many people would’ve not noticed that. What a scam.

worst of the worst

every time i am more shocked by how abysmal walmart’s customer service is. everything always goes wrong. at some point the rep i was talking to referred to amazon as their competitor— not a chance. an item was lost, ie never shipped, no refund then it was suddenly found i guess and shipped and guess what, i moved, don’t live there and they won’t refund me. absurd. absurd. everything about them is absurd. i deleted the app and wouldn’t order from them if the prices were half amazon.

Buyer beware. Really aware!

I ordered a toy online from Walmart Nov 07,2025 and paid a bit more because they seemed to be the only place that had it available. I was supposed to pick it up Nov 21 at the store near me.
When I got to the store at first they were confused where to even go to picket up, then couldn't find the order number etc etc. Finally someone found the order online and it said not delivered, non refundable and they had no idea what was going on but quickly passed the responsibility on to online customer service. They gave me a number to call.

I immediately called customer service and they said it would be escalated. They didn't know where it was.
One month later (December 08) Im still being told it will be escalated and that someone will contact me in 2-3 business days.
No one in customer service can escalate a call. No one has contacted me. I have no idea where the toy is and no one at Walmart seems to know where the toy is. Ive called 4 times !
I would give up on this ,but I promised the toy to my grandson . We missed his bday but maybe xmas??!!
This is the worst customer service I have ever seen and will never shop at Walmart either online or in person!

Nothing, whatsoever, has been resolved, other than a flurry of emails...ask yourself, how would you react, ????/ A filthy broken air fryer , missing ITEMS that were clearly advertised on YOUR WEBSITE a Refurb /hack operation, that does not respond to either you or I, content indeed, for mass communication, in pointed detail...candles purchased .. With no one knowing where they are ... shall I go on.....? BE AWARE!!! OF WALMART MARKETPLACE

Je voudrais fermer mon compte en ligne chez Walmart.ca car j'ai changé de numéro de cellulaire et je n'ai plus accès à mon compte en ligne pour commander chez eux. Ils envoient un code de vérification d'identité à mon courriel, là tout va bien. Ensuite ils envoient un code à mon ancien numéro de cellulaire que je n'ai plus. C'est certain que çà fonctionne pas. J'ai téléphoné au service à la clientèle de Walmart et je leur ai demandé de changer le numéro de cellulaire et ils ne veulent pas. ????
J'ai jamais vu pareil service à la clientèle !
Svp j'ai besoin d'aide !

It's buyer beware

Walmart does not stand behind the merchandise they sell. It's buyer beware. I made a purchase, and the device would not work. I downloaded the app using the instructions on the box and the QR code. It would not work. The manufacturer admitted that they were scaling back support for the device. Walmart said it was the manufacturer's fault, not their fault and they refused to refund me. They were selling those off at a "discount" because they knew they were useless and then screwing the customers by duping them into buying them and refusing to refund once the customer figured out the device was useless

Ordered groceries online

Ordered groceries online. Went to pick up the groceries at the time that was requested
1st complaint - pickup spots had been moved with no prior notification.
Secondly Grocery order was not ready!
Lastly Wait time to get a spot to pick up groceries was close to an hour! TOTAL S... SHOW!
Not impressed at all!
Extremely poor planning and not impressed with management at Deerfoot City Walmart in Calgary!

Their online grocery shopping is a rip-off

I put in a grocery order last night, and a few items were popping up to be delivered separately, which I did not want, so I canceled them, or so I thought. I did not know until today that one item, which was supposedly on sale, would not be delivered for almost two weeks, and I was being charged another delivery fee, which was more than the item itself. I thought that was ridiculous. Of course, I tried to cancel it but was told that it was too late because it had already been shipped. That did not make sense to me. Where was it coming from? Timbucktwo!? This whole scenario is so pathetic that I don't ever want to use Walmart's online grocery delivery ever again. I feel like I was tricked and taken advantage of, and that's not okay. I'm so disgusted with them right now, I don't want to ever shop there again.

Love Wal-mart

I love Wal-mart and the prices are unbeatable. They are the only place to carry all the Lindt varieties, including 90, 95 and 100%! I usually shop in store, but sometimes online for pickup. I do find they make substitutions that they shouldn’t, i.e. I find it on the shelf after, but I just return it. Customer service has always been great with returns. Great selection of toaster ovens.

this is actually a zero star rating I ordered a couch from Walmart Canada waited 2 weeks for it to be delivered at home on the scheduled delivery date and at 9:00 at night I get a tracking confirmation and a Walmart confirmation that it was delivered where it was nowhere in sight this is the most horrible experience I've ever had at this point Walmart's says that they will refund me that the company has lost my couch yet I have not seen any money I will never shop from Walmart again !

LE PIRE SERVICE... 32 photos 5 x 7 ordered on Oct 6th... despite several show ups at the pick up store, my photos were not there. Today Nov 19th, the phone agent (very polite) advised me that since we are more than 30 days, Walmart are cancelling my order. WORST SERVICE EVER

I received an order send in error by Walmart and charged to my credit card on file, I tried to return this merchandise to the Walmart store located in Milton,ON but the order was cancelled and when the store tried to return this items in the order said that was not returnable. I just want to return this merchandise and my refund for the amount that was charged to my credit card. Rubina at Customer service was very rude not giving an understandable response or answer. I am done with Walmart all due to the ignorant representatives.

Unacceptable Delay and Complete Lack of Communication

Today, the delivery was rescheduled for a window between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM.

It is now 12:22 PM on November 19, 2025, and the order has still not arrived. This marks the second time the commitment has been completely missed.

The core issue remains the complete absence of communication. I have received zero updates or explanation for why my order has failed to be delivered on two separate windows across two different days. I am left with no groceries and no information on whether this order still exists.

​I placed a grocery delivery order with Walmart scheduled for a delivery window between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM today, November 18, 2025.
​At some point, I received a text message notification delaying the delivery until 1:00 PM. While frustrating, I accepted the change.
​It is now 3:17 PM, over two hours past the revised delivery time and more than three hours past the original window. The order has still not arrived.
​The most disappointing part of this experience is the complete absence of communication. Since the 1:00 PM delay text, I have received zero updates. I have no way of knowing whether my order is still coming or if it has been silently canceled. I relied on this schedule for perishable items, and this severe delay, coupled with a total lack of transparency and customer service updates, is unacceptable.

Be very careful when shopping online at Walmart!
My account was compromised and someone tried to purchase larger items on my account! If I didn’t get email notifications that I had put things in my cart this “Kezia O’Brien” would have gotten away with it!
Don’t keep a card on your acct
I was able to remove mine and delete my Walmart account.

I would rate Walmart is one of the worst companies I've ever worked for in my whole entire life management horrible scheduling is horrible health and safety they don't believe in there Employees Customer advice, terrible backstabbing manipulation lying steeling all of the above I'd say if you're looking for a company do not work for Walmart

My delivery is to wrong address i sent pictures showing delivery at wrong address. The customer service representative couldn't help neither could Supervisor "Sumit" both told me to call back Sunday. Neither would start a refund process said it wasn't able to start until next day. The customer service is open from 8-11pm. This was 7pm when I made contact. Both were very rude not giving any understandable response or answer. Go to Amazon I have tried supporting this company now I just want my refund and be done with Walmart all due to their two ignorant representatives
