Well… I never thought I'd find myself writing a review about a car named after a fruit, but here we are!!

Once I'd got over the fact it sounded more at home in a Mr Kipling box, I was sold!

My son now travels to school in a heated massage seat, feet up on his footrest and I'm half expecting him to ask for a complimentary dressing gown and a glass of cucumber water as he leaves!

The headrest speakers? Genius! I can actually hear phone calls without broadcasting my entire conversation to three lanes of traffic while doing my best Dom Joly impression… "HELLO?! I'M ON THE PHONE!" If you know, you know! 😂

Then there's Pet Mode… The car stays cool and the alarms stay off. Perfect! I just need to decide whether I'm emotionally ready to let something that licks its own bottom and rolls in anything she considers doggy Chanel No. 5 into my shiny, spangly new car! 🫣 It's the Daddy or Chips debate all over again!

As a person of a certain age (no judgement please), the brain fog is real! I've been known to put my keys in the fridge and search for my phone whilst speaking on it! Thankfully, the car tells me if I've left my keys or phone behind and locks itself when I walk away (provided I've actually remembered to take the key with me! 🤣).

I can even ask it to open the windows… and it actually listens and does it! As a mum of three, that's a first!

Speaking of children… somewhere in this word vomit I've failed to mention that my daughter, Sophia, sold me the car at Richmond Chery Bognor!

Admittedly, Sophia had a bit of a head start. She knew I needed something economical for work, big enough for bikes, university moves, the dog and the occasional tip run.

This was my first brand new car.. and I had plenty of daft, unfiltered mum questions (in my defence Sophia did spend her childhood asking me a million questions.. so I kindly returned the favour in one afternoon! 😂).

She was exceptional!

Professional, knowledgeable, patient (not sure where she got that from 👀 😜) and genuinely brilliant at what she does.

Sophia made the whole experience easy.

I'd absolutely recommend Sophia… Not just because she's my daughter, but because she's genuinely fantastic at her job.

Excellent customer service from Sam who helped me pick my new MG. I ended up getting exactly what I wanted in the spec and colour I wanted with Sam's help. He kept me updated the whole way along and even took the time to show me how to use everything before I left. I did discover a slow puncture and needed a new tyre after purchase but Sam and his team sorted it out for me so that I wasn't out of pocket. Amazing experience and would definitely go back for another car in the future 🙂 Thank you so much

Had my MGS5 for almost 15 months - 12volt battery went flat twice (had to get AA Assistance), radio froze several times, boot failed to open fully and a variety of other issues. They disconnected the radio too, until a “fix” could be found! Raised these with MGUK (Customer Care) they were somewhat sarcastic, telling me they could do nothing remotely!!!!!!!! Car has been back to Richmond 5 times in almost 15 months!! They have now sent a part through to Portsmouth to be “flashed” in the hope that things work again.
So much for MG UK Customer Care - absolutely disinterested - NO care in that department!!! If I could afford a new car, I would have this MGS5 crushed and buy a different car from a more reputable company.
Sorry to sound so grumpy, but I hate being “fobbed-off” after such an expensive outlay of my meagre savings. Grrrrrrrrrrr. My family, neighbours, and I will never touch MG again. So sad, as I was quite excited when first I bought this piece of tin!
PS: I have an email train to prove all this!!!

MG HS was the choice of car and Guildford dealership was the closest to us. Initially a telephone conversation with Marius Mockus who searched cars for us & and then a meeting at the centre.
Everyone was efficient and friendly & Marius talked us through the process, test drive etc.
Nothing was too much trouble and I would recommend this centre and especially Marius.

Brought another car from Marius! That's Two in Four years. Lovely guy, no bs. Made the whole process of buying a new car enjoyable and pain free. Thank you.

My experience with the dealership has been great. The customer service team is excellent. Chris has been incredibly helpful, working with me to find appointments that work with my family’s busy schedule. He thoroughly explains what the service has covered and is happy to answer questions. Further, he contacts me as soon as he knows when the car will be ready for collection. Very helpful!

Adrian Hill was helpful and always replied on any query. He was polite and I would recommend him if you are thinking of getting a Hyundai model.
