Very easy to apply and set up. Clear information on what to expect, and all literature received in a timely manner. Direct debit was easy too and set up to a date that suits me. Not actually had to use their services yet, as I haven’t died as yet lol. But so for what I can see is looking good.

Everything was explained thoroughly, it was what mum wanted and she feels good that everything is in place for when she needs it

On telephoning I was soon speaking to a very helpful colleague, who answered my questions fully and made me feel comfortable to choose Pure Cremation. I was delighted to receive the booklet with useful information and suggestions of important actions to take, that I had not yet thought about but which will help my family in future.

My parents had both decided that they wanted to be cremated when the time came. They had chosen Pure Cremation because they believed it would take the pressure off us as a family and make things easier when the time came. Sadly, our experience was very different from what we had expected.
When my dad passed away, we contacted Pure Cremation in the early hours of the morning. The questions we were asked felt endless and, at such a difficult and emotional time, some seemed unnecessary. Even the doctor and Macmillan nurses commented on how many questions we were being asked. There was very little that felt personal or compassionate about the process.
When the large black van arrived, with a huge Pure Cremation sign covering the side, two men came into the house. We said our final goodbyes and were asked to leave the room while they prepared Dad for removal. The men were pleasant enough, and they told us when they were ready.
However, when the rear doors of the van were opened, I could see other people's loved ones inside. I was completely unprepared for this and found it deeply upsetting. Dad was then taken more than 60 miles away, where he was held until the day of his cremation.
That wasn't how we had imagined his final journey. The prominent branding on the van also felt particularly inappropriate to us at such a sensitive moment. Knowing that Dad was travelling alongside other people who had passed away made the whole experience feel very impersonal.
We did eventually receive Dad's ashes, and we were able to hold a gathering for him, but throughout the process it was difficult not to feel that everything had been handled as a transaction rather than as the final arrangements for someone's much-loved husband and dad.

The cost also wasn't significantly cheaper than arranging a simple, no-frills cremation through a local funeral service, which was something we had not fully appreciated beforehand.
Thankfully, my mum hadn't taken out a plan for herself, and after this experience she has decided that she would not use Pure Cremation. She now finds the television adverts difficult to watch because they don't reflect the experience our family had. The TV goes off.
I appreciate that other families may have very different experiences, but sadly I cannot recommend Pure Cremation based on ours. If I could offer one piece of advice, it would be to speak to a good local funeral service and find out exactly what happens to your loved one, where they will be taken, how they will be cared for, and what the total cost will be before making a decision.
For our family, the experience felt cold, impersonal and very different from what my parents had believed they were choosing. We had hoped Pure Cremation would make an incredibly difficult time easier for us. Sadly, it didn't.
Actual date of service used was in March 2024 but unable to select that far back.

I had been thinking about sorting my funeral for a while. I'm in good health but figured it was time. I have been to so many Cremations rushed conveyor belt affairs and didn't want that for my family.
I spoke to a lovely person from Pure Cremation who answered my questions honestly and frankly and talked me through every step of my last journey.
To know my payment was fixed with no added extras was also a weight off my mind.
Nobody wants to think about it I was shaking when I picked up the phone, after the call the sense of relief knowing that everything had been sorted. All my family had to do was take my ashes to the pub have a drink on me and scatter me to the four winds!

Helpful, understanding, knowledgeable

Its an easy read and informative of whats included and knowing it in an insurance fund that protects your money if anything happens to the company. Its very cheap compared to what traditional funerals cost and i dont want a service for me. Lots of emails telling me whats going on and knowing that i can just pick up the phone to speak to someone if anything changes with me. I would highly recommend this company.

I found the whole process very easy to complete online and all the information I wanted was right there for me to see. It was so easy, and so much cheaper than the usual ‘funeral’ that one other member of our family has already asked me take a policy out for them, with another considering it very seriously. All of them have said we don’t want to put a financial burden on any of you when we’re gone, so finding that these policies are so much cheaper has made them all feel like they’ve done the right thing. The information provided with the certificates about getting your affairs in order was also very useful. I’ve already recommended it to several friends and will continue to do so. Big thumbs up from me 👍
